Refreshing
I like this meditation because it hits the basics nicely. I like to go back and just be grateful for the food in my belly and the comfortable home I am so lucky to have! I’ll be saving this one as well.

Inviting in Goodness
One of the simplest, yet very profound ways to become happy is through the practice of gratitude. The practice of gratitude is all about shifting our perspective on what we already have rather than what we lack. In this short gratitude meditation, Brandon brings us back to the basics of life. In doing so, we become grateful for things in our life that are easily overlooked. Putting on my headphones, I brought my awareness to my breath. Slowly breathing in fresh air, pausing for a moment and then slowly releasing air on my exhale, tension began melting off my muscles. Listening to Brandon’s words, I began inviting in goodness. Sitting here in this moment, I am grateful for my breath. Sitting here in this moment, I am grateful for waking up to live another day. Sitting here in this moment, I am grateful for this body. Sitting here in this moment, I am grateful for the sleep I received last night. Sitting here in this moment, I am grateful for the clothes I have on to cover my body. Sitting here in this moment, I am grateful for the food in the refrigerator and pantry. Sitting here in this moment, I am grateful for my loved ones. Sitting here in this moment, I am grateful for the opportunities this day will bring to learn and grow. Sitting here in this moment, I am grateful for this amazing moment to pause, inviting in goodness. Inviting in goodness isn’t difficult, it’s just a matter of shifting our perspectives. In being appreciative for what we are given, we open the door for infinite possibilities to enter our life and thus, inviting in even more goodness into our lives. It’s that simple! Namaste 🙏🏻❤️☮️

bliss
I learned that I can enjoy meditation. I was so grateful for the ability to breathe and it changed absolutely everything and the five minutes flew by and I was disappointed but it was over and I had only felt like a couple of minutes has gone by and my world had been erupted in bliss. That switching from one enjoyable task watching scandal to this task immediately provided the comfort I needed to not have pausing my day be uncomfortable and therefore let myself be vulnerable in a way that was perfectly serene and comfortable and OK. i immedialy switched from the audio of scandal on my computer to the adio on aura on my iPad. i learned aura has an interface that allows me to filter for voices and purposes and makes it easy to find what im looking for. I learned that this app has a playlist feature, which I have been dying to see in a meditation app, so so far, I am sold. Today, I am grateful that I can breathe through my nose because it allows me to have clarity of mind when I meditate.

Thanksgiving gratitude
Waking up on thanksgiving morning with a gratitude meditation is exactly how I wanted to begin my day. There is so much to be grateful for, the simple things we take for granted, such as our breath, our muscles that allow us to be of service to others. Reminding myself of all the abundance helps me to align to with my true values. it’s far to easy to get lost in the self and feel like I should always be striving for “more” But I know that everything I need is already here inside of me With gratitude 🙏🏼

Perfect!
This was perfect for this morning. Being able to stop in the midst of the holiday rush and picture so many people that you love that you are grateful for. Grateful that they are still here. Grateful for the ones that have passed on before. And picturing their smiling faces. Grateful for being alive and being able to participate in the holidays if you choose to do so and how you choose to do so. Sometimes we get so busy that gratitude is not the first thing that we do or think of. This was a perfect reminder to live in gratitude every time we get the chance.

Not much sleep last night. Bed 10:30. Awake 3:45. Napped and was planning to go back to sleep. Dog allergies and congested head, eyes hurt. Too much chatter in my head and construction outside.
I learned that the more I focus on how tired I am it makes it worse

Progress
I noticed that it was easy to be grateful right away but then some negative thoughts about worries crept in. I had to bring myself back to small things that I am grateful for to keep from spiraling. I am new to my gratefulness practice so this is something that will get easier with time.

From 1-7-1997 to now
Today is not only I’m Not Going To Take It Anymore Day but today’s my 26 anniversary of my second Traumatic Brain Injury (but I had had 3 brain injuries and a few concussions), but the one I kind of want to hold to say a big “Yeah, I’m just going to make a holiday to note”; but it was on this day back in January 7th at around 2 AM that I was hit by a attempted hit & run drunk driver but the cab driver ran her off the road. Right on! More power to the people! But I couldn’t really give them anything, because I was out for the count, in a coma, for almost 3 months. When I “woke up”, I could no longer talk. And the woman who hit me? Well, she was a pharmacy student! And the “”I’m Not Going To Take It Anymore Day” when we as human beings fight back against the injustices inflicted upon us, to show that we cannot be controlled nor contained like wild animals. To show that we have our own lives and our own prerogatives. “The rebellious history Of I’m Not Going To Take It Anymore Day “Civilians and labor workers have all had their fair share of wrongdoings made upon them, and most of them get to the point that they start a rebellion against their higher ups. For Example, the Haitian Rebellion: On 22 August, 1791, the slaves of Saint Domingue rose in revolt and plunged the colony into civil war. The signal to begin the revolt was given by Dutty Boukman, a high priest of voodoo and leader of the Maroon slaves, during a religious ceremony at Bois Caïman, on the night of August 14th. Within the next ten days, slaves had taken control of the entire Northern Province in an unprecedented slave revolt. Whites kept control of only a few isolated, fortified camps. “The slaves sought revenge on their masters through “pillage, rape, torture, mutilation, and death”. Because the plantation owners had long feared a revolt like this, they were well armed and prepared to defend themselves. Nonetheless, within weeks, the number of slaves who joined the revolt reached approximately 100,000. Within the next two months, as the violence escalated, the slaves killed 4,000 whites and burned or destroyed 180 sugar plantations and hundreds of coffee and indigo plantations. Now, back to modern times. We here in the modern era have had many protests throughout the years, but none have been so ridiculous and varied is the ones in current years as we all have seen in some way or another.” Well, I just like the day, I would like to offer you a cup of coffee or tea (or cocoa or even water!), and say “Yeah, this girl & her family just ain’t to give it up!” People like my mom, Sue Bourn, her husband/my dad, Martin Wool, my aunt Sam (make that Sandra Walker and her Amazing husband, John), my uncle Rob & his fantastic wife, all the way to my brother, Jake, and Marty’s 3 kids, Jo Anna Wool, Greg Wool & Lauren Wool, and the first wife of Marty, Sally Wool & her husband. Anyway, raise whatever you are drinking and toast my family and me! & “We make a living by wha

Simple, powerful, grateful.
There's always lots to be grateful for! Even in the worst moods (though I forget) I'm grateful for my breath. My mind and body and soul and self. The connection I am and share with everyone, all life, and everything. That's usually enough to put anything negative, illusory, or simply unwanted into perspective :)
