I re-learned that your interpretation of an event is all that matters at the end of the day. It’s so important to hold yourself accountable for that interpretation because it then dictates your mood which dictates how we treat others in our lives. Which can then lead to those in our lives reacting to how we treat them. It’s all one circle!

I learned that I am more compassionate and patient with other drivers on the road than I am with Gab. I’m more understanding with them. It’s like she has overflowed her threshold for my patience.

The biggest thing to hit me was how much more room I have to be compassionate rather than pessimistic. Thinking negatively about everything can really take a lot of energy, but letting things slide away and chalking the prompting event up to there being a good reason behind it takes so much less energy. Using that extra energy toward positive and worthwhile things, in my opinion, is the key.

We are talking about just telling ourselves a different lie to make ourselves feel better about the situation. Why can’t we get mad about the things that made us mad? Keeping a positive perspective doesn’t make us more positive, it’s just more lies to get through the day, but hey at least you went through the day with a clueless smile.

I was reminded of a quote I heard the other day: “A thought is simply that: a thought. A thought has no power over you until you grant it that power.” This session was a pleasant reminder of how different outcomes can be derived from a simple thought. It’s a reminder to be mindful of all of those around you and how powerful a thought can be on daily life.

This app makes me relieved of stress and I am so happy to hear so many different ways to do that. Your mind is the hardest thing to control and once you control that, everything will become at ease. The body will be stronger if the mind is at its highest level.

I learned that I don’t know everything I still have a long journey ahead of me and the way I am now is not my most favorite person but I am trying and I know with the help of my wonderful family and friends I will overcome this but firstly I have to want to overcome this not very thing is a speech I don’t have to be perfect I don’t have to make others aware of my knowledge I need to listen to the people who have experienced because they know the hardships in life and after all I’m just a child and my parents know what is best for me in terms of my health and behavior and I need to listen to them I just need to listen and understand I need to stop one uping the. Because I’ll become the very thing I hate boastful and rude and pompous I don’t want to be any of that at all and sometimes I might not know what I want but my parents know what I need I need to stop acting like I’m above everybody else and I need to stop overthinking and assuming I just have to leave life and take advice for those who have experienced

I loved the example she used of traffic and the way that you react being the way the rest of your day might go. I am a number one believer in the fact that road rage shouldn’t be a thing and whenever I get cutoff I simply just keep driving without reaction. I’m not sure why I didn’t connect the fact that the way in which I handle this situation could be applied to multiple aspects in my life. It is very true that when I give said driver an excuse like mentioned, I feel calm as I continue driving and hold no anger. Will definitely be applying this more

We can really impact how something affects us by looking at it different ways. You always choose how you look at something, and you can choose to focus on the negative or positive aspect. You can have an external or internal locus as well. All this determines where your mind goes, happy thoughts, happy mind. Be mindful of others and you’ll be mindful of yourself

I learned that one word can really change how you act toward other people. When you want to get upset, think of positive thoughts about why that person did that or why they said that. They might have something going on in there lives that we don’t know about. And that simple kindness can change there day too.

Walk in Peace
I’m reminded to walk in peace no matter whether I’m driving or shopping, at the mall or park, on a busy highway or in the slow poke lane. Choosing to remain at peace gives my day a quality that only I can give it by doing so. If I lose my temper then I lose my peace. The quality of my day could be lost as well! Yet, if I do happen to lose my good mood or temper - if that happens, I can always regain it by going back to a state of being, a meditation, a prayer, seek to gain my peace once again.

My beliefs shape my thoughts. My emotions respond to my thoughts. I am on working on listening to and acknowledging my emotions when I make decisions. To decide without emotions leads me to denial. Making decisions purely on emotions leads to reactions. To live in the present, I must make decisions in alignment with my values.

i’m in high school and i didn’t think this would apply to me. when people do things they mean it negatively, was my initial thought. but then again, how do i know that? i don’t. i need to think positively instead of negatively when someone doesn’t respond the way i want them to cause in the end it’s my thought that affects my day.

I was reminded that our initial thoughts and percetions in any given situations are very powerful. If i am not careful, 1 negative thought can mess up my day. and can even hurt other persons. I cannot control the events, but i can manage my thoughts and feelings. Practice meditation and listen to life coaching as part of improving the total condition of my mind.

I learned that others’ thoughts matter to me and influence my behaviour greatly. A friend told me today that I need to hold on to the innocence I have. It’s what makes me lovable. The fact that I go out of my way to make a new person feel included in the group. Getting out of your comfort zone and helping someone feel at home is very important, especially if the person is new to the surrounding.

Following from Part 1 of Thoughts and Feelings, Cassandra dives deeper into how our thoughts can change the outcome of how we will feel for the rest of the day. In this Life Coaching session, I learned that I have the power within myself to change the way I feel about what is happening around me. It is the way I react to what is happening around me that will determine how I feel the rest of the day. To ensure that I am cool, calm and collected, I need to keep my thoughts and my interpretations of my thoughts in alignment throughout the day. After all, positive thinking leads to positive results! Be watchful and notice your thoughts and feelings. I personally fail often in that then begin to fight with feeling of guilt I failed on top of all :) So go back to square one and be mindful.

Especially how we relate to others. Just made me think about how speaking my thoughts without a filter to people I love can change their behavior as well. For example, a critical comment to my husband is typical for me and I’m starting to think about the harm that does. And what if I look for something to good to say instead? How will an encouraging word inspire the change I was hoping for when I criticized him over leaving his dirty socks on the floor vs. a critical one? A little off topic...but thinking about how the way we view the world through our inner thoughts can and will shape our life.

Have you been secretly hiding in my car when I’m driving? I can so relate to this scenario and have gone the path of the “dark side” all too often, with just the results to my day you described. I need to keep my thoughts in check—don’t automatically assume the worst. It only affects me and my day in the long run.
