This meditation helps you to begin to soften the tension and stress in your body by using the power of the breath. Please note: If you are struggling with your mental health it's really important to seek professional help. These meditations are not a substitute for that but can be used along side therapy to help to support you. For more on Carla-Jo and her work please see www.carlajo-mindfulness.com

Zero Tension
I drove to San Francisco and walked around a lot. This session was excellent for totally relaxing my whole body before retiring for the evening. Definitely saving this one as I tend to have a lot of tension at the end of the day.

Knowing How I Feel
I learned that by paying attention to the parts of my body where I feel stress on tightness I can physically remove the weight.

Sometimes we need to take a minute to truly take in what our bodies are telling us. This tension releasing meditation helped me to pinpoint where I carry my stress and to help relieve some of the pain I have been feeling in my muscles.

Letting go
Letting go of all the tension of my day feels incredible and relaxing. Sometimes we need a few moments to ourselves

Non-judgement
There are times I do not feel physically well. In those times I can be a harsh judge of myself. Taking a moment to notice and not judge, to send myself some loving kindness allows me to remember that I am a human Being not a human Doing.

Breathe
It’s hard at the end of a day to just let it all go without taking a moment to think about the how and the why! How is to simply breathe and the why is because at the end of the day all that matters is where you end up!

Today's meditation
I learned that it's doubly hard to relax when you're suffering from allergies... ugh!

What I learned
When there is tension, just accept it. Surrounded it with loving awareness on an in-breath, and let it soften on the out-breath

Let it go
A whole different way of letting go like Elsa. I could feel the power I have over my body as I focused and breathed through letting go of the tension in the back of my neck. I felt powerful to let it go. I felt in control which is not a feeling I typically have. I liked it. I want more of that feeling. That powerful feeling. Normally letting go can make you feel weak but I haven’t felt this strong in a long time.

Focus on the Present
I learned that when your mind wanders during meditation you just have to bring it back. Meditation isn't about clearing the mind but about focusing on the present.

Needs background music or nature sounds

In this meditation, I learned how to give extra focus to the tense parts of my body that I tend to shrug off during the day and not give much attention to. It taught me how to link my breathing and the focus of my tense areas together- releasing that pain and discomfort and focusing on being in touch with myself and my body.

Exhale
Exhaling is a lot like cleansing. It’s not just the air an oxygen that’s possible to release, but exhaling allows us to remove stresses, stressor, and other unheathlyness from us.

stress
when all of your stress builds up, you should not possibly just ignore it. You shall make sure it lowers so you can move on with your day. Having stress build up through your life just causes your days to become worse. Take time into trying to lower that stress down, it will help you cope through the hardest and most stressful times.

I’ll miss you guys if you don’t hear from me. It was nice just to release some built of tension and be able to relax again. Thank you, Aura! Have a nice day, Everyone!😀

Being mindful...
Finding peace with breath... it takes practice, but becoming more aware of the tension that builds as your stress level rises is key to begin to lessen the anxiety that inevitably comes along with it. Be mindful of the signs your body is giving you, then take a moment and breath ❤️

Release, amid the morning activity
Today was a good challenge- running late on my practice so I was meditating while the rest of my family was in the midst of their morning routine- radio news blaring, conversation, pots clanging. Good advice to focus inward- the radio was a thing in the background, and oI was momentarily isolated, releasing tension from within. Namaste

Soften your mind and body❤️
So often when we get to the end of our day we find our body’s are tight with tension. I really encourage you to practice pausing during your day, checking in and focusing on your breath for a few moments. As you are doing this you can imagine that as you breathe out the out breath is softening your body. I have found that regularly pausing and softening helps me to feel more calm and vital through the day. If you have 3 or 7 minutes here is my tension release meditation that you can practice ❤️ Love and kind wishes to you , Carla-Jo❤️

Stress
I have a lot going on in my life right now but on top of everything, I have paper thin walls. I just herd my parents having super loud sex and made me sick to my stomach. This meditation helped me get rid of the horrible pit in my stomach so that’s cool.

Helped!
My 10y/o daughter made poor choices last night, choosing to not complete her homework, in favor of other activities. She made this morning miserable for us both! Arriving home again after managing to get her to school, I'm feeling totally stressed out! This Aura session helped me relax some, at least enough to.face the rest of my morning, anyway! Now, is there an Aura lesson to make doing housework easier?😳

Calming...
I had a chaotic start to my morning. An early call from my neighbor, 2-doors down, calling to alert me to our next-door neighbor’s irrigation system gone wild. It was flooding all our yards! Since the new next-door neighbor hasn’t moved in yet, I had to call her & alert her. Got that resolved... Ugh 😑 dang adrenaline!! Now to calm the morning... I tried 3 or 4 meditations. Each helping a bit... but this one... Ahhhh. My wind chimes, out back, helped too. But this meditation, for some reason, was the one which pulled the pin and unlocked things and helped me allow it all the let go and Flow. Then I remembered my mantra... “Open & Allow... allow the Flow.” In other words... “Use The Force, Luke!” 😀

Releasing Tension
This meditation has you acknowledge an area of your body where you are feeling tension. I tend to carry tension along my shoulder blades and neck. As I breathe in, I am acknowledging the tightness I am feeling in this area. I sit with that feeling for a moment. Then I exhale letting go of the tension in that area which I could immediately feel it soften. This was just what I needed this afternoon. I have an hour before I need to get dinner going. I am going to take advantage of this extra time I have to go indulge in a hot bath.

Short and effective
I don’t need to maintain mindfulness for 15 - 20 minutes to feel refreshed. I also used this session to focus on some relief for my back and it worked.

Releasing tension without contorting
Usually when I have tension in a particular part of my body, I twist and bend, trying to free it. Often it doesn’t work but I continue to do it and feel frustrated. I learned how with just my concentration and my breath, I can release tension. Focusing on where I usually carry my tension (shoulders) and feeling them release felt similar to how they feel after a massage but not as deep. I want to continue to work on this and to see how much tension I am able to release and in other areas of my body too.
