When our day is full, we tend to be on auto-pilot, going from one task to the next. Mindlessly going through our day, we miss the many moments that make up our day. In this meditation, Lisa teaches us a way to break up auto-pilot by stopping, sensing and seeing.
Taking a break from doing mode to being mode, I became still and brought my awareness to sensing. I sensed how these clothes touched my skin. I sensed the pressure of my feet on the ground. I sensed how it felt to be breathing. I sensed feelings and emotions.
Turning my awareness from sensing to seeing, I looked around in my surroundings. Utilizing a beginners mind, even the most mundane things I saw in my surroundings gave me a sense of curiosity and wonder.
In these moments of being mode, I am present.
I like to think of this simple exercise as doing micro meditations periodically throughout the day. By breaking up auto-pilot, we sense the incredible aliveness of life that is always occurring within and around us. Namaste 🙏🏻❤️☮️
