A short guided meditation using touch to sooth the autonomic nervous system, particularly in this time of uncertainty. We can use our hands to support the head when practicing together with an awareness of breathing. Thank you for meditating with me. Best wishes Lisa

Relaxed
I learned how to stay calm and how to relax. It is important to remember that we have to be always calm, sometimes is very hard but it is possible. Just breathe and relax.

As I hold my head up high...
When a loved one feels pain or hurt, we instinctively want to comfort them through touch. To make their worries go away. It is far less common to soothe ourselves through touch. Though we understand that we cannot take care of others until we take care of ourselves first. How ironic. As I hold my head up, I can feel the weight of the world on my shoulders and I understand the origins of my back pain. To feel encumbered by the world around me as it manifests on my shoulders. A modern day Atlas statue in the flesh. By self soothing.. holding my head up high.. I tell myself: I’ve got this. I’ve got you. We’re in this together.

Balancing ...
I felt a very yin/yang (or is it ying/yang?) balancing energy with this practice. One hand on my forehead feeling warm...while the hand on the back of my neck was very cool. Instantly balancing. I’ll be back...☯️

Comforting
Putting my hand on my forehead felt comforting and reminded me of my mother as she held my head when I was a sick child Mom passed a couple months ago, this exercise was soothing, calming, connecting.

Day 1
I can release tension in as little as 3 minutes. I am in control of my body and can allow myself to always return back to center.
