I love this meditation because when I listen to it I am reminded that my thoughts are transitory and I need not allow them the power to dwell within and influence me. By putting each thought on a single leaf and watching it gently flow downstream and out of sight, I become freer and calmer. It is a grand way to deal with thoughts that can cause unneeded stress or anxiety.

This meditation ends with suggestions of hope. Suggestions that things are going to be good, that I/we will be able to tap into universal aabundance and live life with ease. Those words are very reaffirming and soothing. This has helped me a lot.

I really enjoyed this meditation. I felt very relaxed and loved the visual of sitting by a stream and letting go of my thoughts by placing them on leaves and letting them go down the stream. I will have to try this one again as I was interrupted by a phone call and lost my train of thought. This is definitely a technique I will use next time I’m caught up in my thoughts. Yesterday, I had a powerful moment of finding my heart racing and breathing becoming shallow as I approached a police breath test. For those following, you know I don’t drink but this encounter causes me great anxiety. As I waited in the line of cars I took control back over my breath and was able to bring myself back to the present moment. I was waved through so once again feel like I cheated the moment but I now know I’m better able to control my anxiety in this or any situation.

I love all of Glenn’s mediations and hypnotherapy sessions as I find them so powerful. After being interrupted during this meditation a few days ago, I wanted to give it another go and I am so glad I did. I will definitely be revisiting this meditation regularly as the visualization and the reminder of just letting thoughts come and go is definitely assisting me on a daily basis. Even though I was interrupted last time I still put into practice the idea of letting my thoughts go along the leaves of the stream and it truly helped me when I was feeling anxious.

I dunno if my place is necessarily a stream, but I definitely understand the idea. When I am panicking; my stream looks a whole lot like lava. The lava is flowing with everything on fire around it... satan gesturing kindly saying “jump in, water’s fineeeee” Take aways: *right place right time *letting things go *positive mind = positive body

Overwhelm to Centered
This morning as I continued to complete some tasks an overwhelming feeling of how much I need to do completely took over me. It seems like there is always something or someone needing my attention these days. It feels as if I will never catch up. If I am completely honest, I feel burnt out all the time. Listening to Glenn’s soothing voice while visualizing sitting on soft green grass, next to a stream, feeling a cool breeze, along with the warmth of the sunshine on my skin, focusing on my breath gives me the break I need. I feel the tension start to leave my body. The overwhelming feeling I was feeling before has been replaced with a calm centered feeling. This was exactly what I needed today. When those overwhelming feelings arise, I will focus my attention on my breath while reciting I feel calm and centered to bring me back to the present moment.

Mediation to Reduce Anxiety
I learned that I have a very long way to go before I’ll ever even remotely have any kind of control over my anxiety. I find meditation is crap. It doesn’t work for me. Never has. I just sit and meditate on all that’s wrong in my life and end up feeling more distressed when they exercise is over. Best option for me is to ignore the feelings and force myself to stay busy. Thinking is ALWAYS a bad idea.

You can’t seriously expect me to believe everyone was miraculously better just because they listened to 9 minutes of talking and nature sounds. I guess everyone else is just a wimp about telling the truth because ALL the reviews are glowing. Significant mental health issues will not be helped by listening to a 9 minute tape. End of story. What a hoot.

Our thoughts are like cars zooming on the freeway, clouds brushing through the sky, and leaves flowing down the stream… we can release our thoughts. We can befriend our mind and attract better thoughts, positive perspectives. Beautiful visualization practice!

I Feel Centered and Balanced
I’ve listened to many tracks that I have connected with. This however was the ONLY one where I felt connected to who I truly am. I am shaking at how these words transported me back to 10 year old me. I was sitting next to her at camp in front of our favorite stream at camp. We listened to the water together. Today we put my present day troubles on a leaf and let them float away. My worries are minimal if I can connect to the present and watch them float away on that leaf. Today was a gift. Thank you for this piece. With all my heart…thank you. ❤️🙏🏼

I learned to let my thoughts flow down a stream. Found myself thinking of many things and realized my mind is cluttered with many thoughts and many directions. This manifests into stress and anxiety with a feeling of overwhelm. The meditation went by quickly and I feel I have clearer thoughts and am more present.
