Overwhelm to Centered
This morning as I continued to complete some tasks an overwhelming feeling of how much I need to do completely took over me. It seems like there is always something or someone needing my attention these days. It feels as if I will never catch up. If I am completely honest, I feel burnt out all the time.
Listening to Glenn’s soothing voice while visualizing sitting on soft green grass, next to a stream, feeling a cool breeze, along with the warmth of the sunshine on my skin, focusing on my breath gives me the break I need. I feel the tension start to leave my body. The overwhelming feeling I was feeling before has been replaced with a calm centered feeling.
This was exactly what I needed today. When those overwhelming feelings arise, I will focus my attention on my breath while reciting I feel calm and centered to bring me back to the present moment.
