When we are present in the moment, we have access to an unstoppable force. Tapping into this force, we realize that we, and we alone, are the creator of our reality. Living our lives through the perceptions of our five senses, we can literally create anything we want. In this amazing meditation, Brandon has us use our five senses and the power of our mind to get motivated. Immediately upon putting on my headphones and hearing the incredible uplifting music playing in the background, I was hooked. Using my five senses to get present in the here and now, I took in a few deep breaths. Feeling my body and mind relaxed, I began to visualize a time in which I felt unstoppable. It was the first time I was truly on my own. I was busy in college, obtaining my first bachelors degree. I heard that Washington State University housed grizzly bears and because of my interest in wildlife biology, I inquired about volunteering. I received the job and a few mornings before school, I would feed the grizzly bears and and clean their makeshift dens. Stepping back into that awesome time in my life by utilizing my five senses, I began doing some bellows breathing. After breathing in this highly motivational energy, I felt my body and mind fill with immense energy. I asked myself a few questions and knew what I must do in order to keep this motivation going. Using the power of my mind, I looked at myself a year from now and saw all that I had accomplished. Boy, is this going to be a fun and exciting year coming up! Truly, I am hyped! There are only two things that we can control each day: our focus and our choices. We can focus on what motivates us or what makes us lazy. We can make choices towards things that get us motivated or the exact opposite. Brandon ends with an exercise in which we write down answers to three questions. These answers help put us in alignment so motivation will be baked into what we do. I highly recommend everyone listen to this profound meditation! It truly is an amazing experience! Make it happen! On fire!
This meditation is exactly what I needed, right now, at this point in my journey. I’ve been feeling bogged down and like I’m treading water, unable to accomplish all that is on my plate right now. While I acknowledge there is more to do than 1 person can physically handle, I am also aware that I can do better and accomplish more. Thank you for this meditation to reset and push through my own barriers and take back control of my life, present and future.
