Yesterday was a little harder to do. I felt muscle I didn’t know I had. My mind stayed clear the whole time tho which was great. I wasn’t worried about what was happening with the baby at home or homework or how much of the house I need to clean. It was me time and I went with it.

The chanting was relaxing and I didn’t think about anything, I just listened. I wish it would have gone on a little longer.

Standing in the rain
Cool water surrounds my feet upon a rain soaked deck, the gentle wind plays with my hair casting a stray curl upon my check and droplets of rain fall, sparkling when they hit the light. I listen to the chant, the tightness in my chest loosens, my shoulders relax, I even try the beginning but loose track in its rhythm, complimenting the streaks of raindrops hitting the ground, the deck, the roof and myself. I get lost in nature’s music to awaken to myself, refreshed and alive, I move into the warmth of the house and my family.

It would be helpful if these chants were translated into English or whatever so we know what we are listening to. How can I be moved by a chant if I don’t know what is being said? Common sense.

I felt serene & calm jubilance.
I learned that I enjoy a chant along with my focused breathing. First time hearing a long chant and tho at first, I was concerned I would not be able to join, but realized I didn’t mind not being able to do myself and appreciated the tempo and joy of it. The beats and inflections of the chant soothes me and kept me alert in stillness.

I’ve had to return to the “family home”: Texas, for my grandfathers funeral. I feel bad for not mourning with my sister and the rest of the family, but the man who just died wasn’t my grandfather. My grandfather, the man I knew mentally passed in March, he only physically passed a couple weeks ago. Coming back here and feeling the stress and tension in my family has caused my anxiety to flare to an extremely high level. I’ve lost control again. I know my family, especially my mom, tries to helping and understand. But the truth is they don’t understand. I miss my theater friends, the people that I know that also deal with mental illness, but I don’t want to bother them. I might text someone who said she was always willing to talk tomorrow. I just worry that I’m just being a bother. And I don’t know if that’s the anxiety talking or reality.

i saw that someone else felt more connected with nature after this but i just felt confused. i thought i was going to have a mantra to carry with me throughout the day when i started to lose sight of staying whole, but the chant was in another language. it was beautiful but it wasn’t translated so i guess i feel a little empty.

I wasn’t expecting that. The first time she said it all the way through I was like what did I just hear and then the second and third time it was more calming and the last time I tried to say it along with her got about halfway through so I guess it wasn’t too bad.

When words fail music speaks. Even though the chant was in a different language, the rhythm soothes. Focusing on the rhythm relaxes my body for a moment.

Magnificent Cosmic Symphony 🙏🏻
This is one of my fave tracks. I shared this with my Mom, who is undergoing a new cancer treatment. Her face immediately lit up when she heard Lisa’s chant, said it was beautiful, and remarked that she felt better after listening. Everything in creation is, at its most refined level, sound or vibration. Every tree, every flower, every part of your body has its own unique vibration. Even the qualities you express in your life such as happiness, joy, abundance, and love are vibrations. When you are healthy, happy, and vibrant, these vibrations are harmonizing with each other like a magnificent cosmic symphony. However, if the vibration of any area becomes distorted, the harmony breaks down, leading to a lack of wholeness and some discomfort in your life. Many forms of healing are based on knowing the correct sound or vibration and reintroducing it into that area, whereby you can restore the balance, harmony, and comfort once again.

Surprisingly helpful
Often when I embark on listening meditations, I label things: birds call, laundry timer, passing car, and I get swept away in associated thoughts. This, however, was so different for me, that all I could do was listen to foreign words as they were sung. No labeling, few distractions, pretty effective.

Accepting feelings
I’ve pushed away and tried to avoid my bad feelings so many times because I was afraid to accept that I was anxious or sad and I thought that by doing that it would simply go away. By doing that, it just led in me doing many panic attacks because my body just couldn’t take it anymore and I had to let it all out. Now I can manage to control my anxiety so much better because I’m accepting it. Never try to push your feelings away, it’ll just be worst!

My Favorite Practice
I listen to this practice every morning and evening. I want to buy Mala beads so I may chant 108 times. Lisa Pollard is simply amazing; her voice is calming and soothing for the mind/body/heart/soul. This track really does having a positive effect on your heart & mind. 🙏🏻

I felt like I need to learn more languages lol I like chanting might look into some more meditation with chants that I can say. I learned that there are so many different languages I don’t know and that a healing chant is actually very beneficial to me. I really enjoyed this mediation. It was very interesting and it really helped me. I wish I understood the chant more, but I can always research. I love learning new things and just experiencing them as well. I found today's practice to be difficult. I've gotten better at not getting stressed by distractions, but there were a lot of distractions, nonetheless. Also, I've had only a little experience with chanting. I found this meditation today tough to stay engaged in.

I haven’t experienced chanting before and this wasn’t what I was expecting. It was much more “sing-song” and pleasant on my ears than I imagined it would be and felt I wanted it to continue for longer. I hope that in time I can learn it myself through repeated listening. It would be lovely if there was a translation though so I actually know what it is that is being put out to the universe, but regardless, it felt good. Thank you 🙏

I have listened to this before and really like it. I felt today that I really wanted it to go on for longer. It would be amazing if I could find out how to learn it myself, if it was broken down more slowly, so that I would then be able to do the chant the recommended 108 times. I am offended cause you are chanting a Mantra thats not right. You first learn the mantra properly .
This is our hindu religion’s highest level of awakening God Shiva’s mantra. Even your purpose was wrong it is chanted when somebody is facing life or death situation. Mostly to prevent death or easy passing. Don’t misguide people with half assed knowledge of our Dharma.

We as humans make mistakes and go through hardships. Why? Because we aren’t perfect if we lived in a world where everything was perfect that would extremely boring. When we go through hardships it isn’t the world turning it’s back on you or purposely trying to make you feel sad or have a dislike for life; sadness and hardship is apart of life we all go through it. I’ve been through enough sadness to know that it is temporary and will eventually go away

Tried this one this morning because I’m not feeling the greatest. Her voice was very hypnotic, not my favorite meditation but certainly interesting.
