Will beat anxiety
I learned that anxiety is the fear of something that hasn’t even happened yet. The chances are it might not ever happen. I will learn to return to the present moment when I feel anxious. The what ifs are just that. Not definite. I will learn to not focus on the what ifs and bring myself back to the present moment.

Anxious thoughts
My mind goes to places of low self esteem and the past hurts I have suffered. I like the simple yet hard practice of reframing my thoughts and deciding what is true.

Day 1
I noticed that when she first started talking about anxiety and how prevalent it is that I started to feel anxious about that. But by the end I almost had a sense of relief or emotional release, I could feel tears welling up. I know it will feel good to do this work.

Okay
The story was okay, reasonably helpful in terms of content. There’s something about the instructor’s phrasing or pacing that just didn’t work for me…others may feel differently.

I like the idea of writing down and rewriting negative thoughts. I also realized how much I miss my cat Iga.

I am there,
but not yet, Dorothy. My life started with a broken finger but may end with a 💔. If I cannot get help, I cannot Write. No man is an Island, but this little imposter is a Writer who can no longer find her funny stories 😥, and may never write the best ones down.

Day 1
I learned that I am not the only one suffering. It’s true when I start to think of the future and where I will be in regards to my life I fill with anxiety. I need to learn to listen for a moment, sit with it then realize that I have no idea what the future holds. It’s time to start living for the present and reestablishing my surroundings can help.

CBT
Is this 100% true? This question used in order to reframe and reassess and challenge my thinking is so helpful, and will help me return to the present and actual truth of the matter.

Day 1
Learned there are far more people than expected with anxiety also, that PTSD is something that can be managed through CBH therapy. I remain hopeful, at least for today that AURA can help along with my regular therapy.

Day 1
I know she mentions pets and children can help us live in the present moment and I find this to be accurate most of the time. Generally if I am able to shift my focus to them in the moment I do feel a sense of relief. However when I become anxious because I am feeling overwhelmed with life and it’s demands I find this to be quite the opposite.

Harnessing Truth
My anxiety is often caused and nurtured by the story I tell myself, most of which is based on future possibilities that are negative and (in most cases) unlikely. Asking myself about each anxious thoughts, “Is this 100% true?” is a great way to challenge my anxious thinking patterns and empower myself to control my thoughts.

Your anxiety/depression/addiction… is not you
I’ve been using a range of resources - including Aura - to try and live more in the present. To grasp more fully that my thoughts and emotions are not me. I am the presence/being that is aware of those thoughts and emotions. And by being fully that presence, I feel that I’m touching the ‘divine’. Powerful stuff.

Writing the thoughts/worries down
I need to write down the things that aren’t true and recognize that it’s not true and let it go and replace it with a thought that is true. God loves me soooo much and always blesses me with my hearts desires. I am always protected and provided for and safe and happiness is always with me- even in temporarily scary situations!

Negative Thoughts
Ugh! I have so many! And I have difficulty hearing them distinctly, so when I write them down, they are much more clear. And scary. How did they end up in my head? I always thought I was such a resourceful and forward looking person. I am surprised by how negative I really seem.

Anxiety
I learned that anxiety is quite common. So many times when I’m inside my own head and struggling with my own, I forget that so many others experience the same thing daily. I learned that in my moments of anxiety I need to practice coming back to and living in the present and that I need to do so consistently.

Thoughts
I’ve noticed a lot about thoughts cause anxiety, learn to change your thoughts. But what if the anxiety is just there? Without any negative thoughts, just the feeling. Is this why CBT hasn’t worked for me? I can’t change thoughts that don’t exist and even repeating positive thoughts, and truly believing in myself the anxiety still persists.

Anxiety is not me but a part that comes in from false fear.
Anxiety is from false fear. Especially if we are feeling something bad about ourselves. We take truth and practice saying that to our minds, it will stick in knowing what is real and what isn’t.

Anxiety
I have actually been dealing with my anxiety so much better with staying present. I’ve read so many books an have listed to so many podcasts and guides. They all initially say the same thing…control your thoughts and stay in the “now”.

Day 1 of calm anxiety
I learned about CBT for anxiety. I'm currently in therapy and am familiar with these tools but didn't know it was called CBT. Hearing Gabby's story, i related to her anxiety related to work and relationships and the tools that she used of writing it down and challenging it with truth inspired me to utilize it too.

Post anxiety CBT notes
I noticed that I’m believing too many of the stories in my head lately. I notice that some of my old anxieties are potentially impacting a new relationship and I am so positive about my ability to turn that around and bring a positive, open, present minded attitude to my situation. I know that I will find love and acceptance in this new relationship as my authentic self, and I can trust her to see me for who I am even as I’m vulnerable and open to whatever she brings to the table in any current moment.

CBT self talk anxiety

CBT mindful of present
Anxiety is negative (untrue exaggerated self-talk) thought habits that can be challenged for truth and re-recorded with more accurate thoughts. Consumes much less energy so you can focus on each moment of the present rather than fearing the future and worrying about what others think. Why animals and children help anxiety is because of their unconditional love focusing your thoughts on being in and enjoying the present moment: mindfulness.

Always anxious before work
Didn’t learn much from this, unfortunately. My anxiety comes from the realities I have to face on a daily basis, mostly at work. And also from having low self-steam. I don’t like or enjoy my work anymore. I dread having to deal with my employees, and I can’t let that show. My anxiety doesn’t come from “what if” scenarios, it is caused from a real, present, current situation. And yes, I do have a pet and having him close when I’m home is a blessing. Hope the others are better than this.

I am having extremely nervous energy that keeps me from being present and focused on what’s going on. I find myself turning back to social media often as a distraction.
J

Calming anxiety
I have a very hard time being present because 1) it’s hard to tell what is causing my anxiety often in order to try to reframe my thoughts 2) my fears do seem still very valid despite often falling in the category of worse case scenario. I don’t know how to find other cases that would leave me stuck in the same cycle 3) I want the unconditional love of a pet more than anything, but my pets have never been the loving type. I adore animals so this makes it hard that I can’t have that experience with one in my home. I hope being more attentive to their needs will help, and maybe encourage me to spend time volunteering with other animals again.

Anxiety
I learned that anxiety is a major mental health disorder for many people. There are ways to manage anxiety. For example, regarding a situation that causes anxiety, bringing myself to the present moment, having mindfulness, and asking myself “is this 100% true”, is one way to manage and reduce anxiety in that situation. There are many CBT techniques, with daily practice, that help reduce anxiety in the long term. Another way to manage anxiety is to give unconditional love, as you would with a loving pet, who are great examples of living in the present moment.
