Very often, our tension and stress comes from not feeling supported. People may support us and they may not - but feeling the support of the ground beneath us can help calm and soothe the mind and reduce unnecessary worrying.

I am supported
My anxiety intensifies when I do not feel supported. I realize that I forget that my body supports me, keeps me healthy and functioning. I forget that I can support myself by listening to my thoughts and acknowledging that my emotions are valid. That pain is real, even when I cannot see it or “prove it.”

I will use this today during a meeting I am nervous about. I will then take slow deep breaths. I will think before speaking. I will prepare ahead of time so I am focused and prepared.

Not feeling the support
I’m not quite feeling the support discussed in this session. My personal space is not very comforting to me. Part of my problem is my ongoing physical discomfort in my own body. And I’m sick and tired of this. Though there’s absolutely no relief to be had from this discomfort. 😢😓😪😰😭

I am feeling ok this morning. Journaling and meditation really help calm my mind and soul. I’m grateful I can do these things every morning instead of doing unhealthy things. I hope everyone has a great day

It is nice to remember that the earth physically supports us. But I also like.to remeber that I am so supported and loved.by so many. Sometimes it is.easy to get swept away and forget.

The ground beneath us is always there to support us. We have the power to access the earth’s energy anytime we need it by focusing on our breath. Reciting the mantra “ I am fully supported” while focusing on your breath can help ground you to the present moment. Great session to start my day with. I am feeling grounded.

Do I feel supported ?
Today I will test this method while sitting at work to see if I can keep my tension to the ground and not my body. I have been physically having muscle tension so I’ll try to relax and use other support.

Marvelous reminder. When I don’t think I am supported, when I am not even showing up for myself, I have but to stand and feel my feet, legs, and spine to know I am. My chair, my bed, and my breath. Yes, I am.

i found it hard to focus on this meditation as thoughts of frustration and anger from the day kept sweeping in. however i am grateful that i was able to bring my attention towards this practice from time to time
