I learned that in no way am I alone, but surrounded by those who love me

I learned that taking the time,however brief, to listen to and connect with the sadness I feel actually brought some comfort. Acknowledgment rather than denial allowed some light to shine and lighten me enough to feel connected (to myself and others). I am not alone. 💕

I learned that I need to express myself more verbally. I am glad I was able to get something off my chest with one of my friends. Although it involved me crying it was needed. How we move forward I don’t know, but at least it’s one less thing I’m holding to. The truth hurts.

I learned that I am not alone in my sadness. Bringing awareness to being sad is an act of kindness for myself. Breathing does help to make me feel better.

Emotions don’t always mean isolation
I learned from this practice to acknowledge my sadness in two ways. First, I am here to be aware, self-soothe, and nourish myself. Second, my sorrows connect me to the human experiences of those I love from who I feel isolated, and to the world I was not considering in my solitary experience of sadness.

My sister in law passed away today. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 2 1/2 months ago. The sadness is overwhelming but the family will recover. We were blessed to have seen her in October for a week and that is the memory we will carry with us. Thank you Aura for reminding me that we are never alone.

This meditation taught me something I had already discovered a year ago , from thinking in my head at 2am . It taught me that I am not alone In my sadness . That everyone in this world feels it at least one time in there life . Who has struggled with depression ?

I liked reconnecting with my body. My mind is in go go go mode and it was nice to realize that despite me trying to run away from my sadness and fear it is still right there and is actually more bearable when I stop and embrace it in stillness. Loving myself is a process, as is accepting that I don’t have to run away anymore.

I always feel so alone... like nobody ever understands how I’m feeling. It was really refreshing hearing that everyone feels what I’m feeling and I am never as alone as I feel.

I have felt very alone after this move. We’ve come across country & it’s been hard. No friends for me and my son was so excited to start a new school & it was a struggle. My husband loses himself in alcohol. I’m struggling with depression but I’m getting help. It’s a long road from here.

With the traumatic experience I went through I have never felt so alone. Every anxiety or panic attack, that is what constantly took over every thought “I’m so alone” I hope to practice this one and try to think about the human experience, I am not the only person that may need someone to be there for them.
