I did this as a brief walking meditation around the pond at work just now. Important to remember what I actually need amidst the anxiety of the day.
Take a breather :)
I learned that sometimes in life you just need to clear your head and take a breather whether you are stressed to the max or just chilling out.
It did not play or I could not hear it. My volume is on for certain. Funny. Guess I do not need this app! Will proceed to meditate in silence:)
I learned that you cant stress what you cant control. when you stress little things you forget about the big picture
One thing at a time.
I like how this meditation focused on thinking about what is important for you to do at this exact moment. Instead of bombarding yourself with unrealistic lists, slow down and think about what you have to do just right now. This made me feel like if I practice this in my every day life, I won’t feel so overwhelmed.
The importance of self-care
It is easy to forget that taking care of yourself (even if only for a short time each day) is essential if you want to achieve your goals.
I took a shower around 2pm , not a normal time for a shower ... this app reminded me to “meditate after your shower” while I was toweling dry...
I have learned that in some situations I have to just step back, without judgement , knowing what to
expect when engaging with this person. I will try harder to go in knowing what will happen and accept it.
I learned that taking a few minutes out of your day and clearing your mind of everything except what's happening in the moment is a good way to relieve stress and calm myself.
Me, Myself and I
What do I need right at this very moment? Peace. Contentment. Awareness. Health. Compassion. Forgiveness. Love. Wisdom. Not to much for the average person to ask for. 😌
Past future and present
I can clear my thinking from going into the past or future by focusing on my breathe. This keeps me in the present.
When a thought arises then I let it go by focusing on the breathe. I try to keep in this space for as long as I can.
Taking just a small moment right now to be present in my body to clear my mind and to be kind when caring for myself. Some things will change and some things will remain the same. What’s important right now is being present in the very moment.
What is important?
I have learnt over the years.....that bringing life in to this life is a privilege not just a blessing. I’m privileged and blessed to allow my self to be a father of four daughters, always staying in contact And providing what they want not just what they need. While not spoiling them. And now they are so smart they need to skip three grades up. They get it from their father! It is I whom showed them everything they know and now they exceeded me at a early age and I must graduate quick to be able to afford putting them at a exceptional school for them to remain with students their age.
That trying to meditate in a moving car is problematic and having music blaring in the background
Don't meditate in the car for love of everything that is holy
The piece that stood out is remembering that you have a body.
It simplifies all the things processing through your mind. Sometimes we forget we truly exist in the moment. It was a refreshing thought.
That sometimes i don’t need anything but to be present of myself.
I love you and this moment as much as time can be loved for I love in this now and then
Take time to slow down and check in with yourself whenever possible. Ask yourself how you can care for yourself in the moment.
In this very moment
I only need air in this very moment nothing but to breathe air...
I️ learned that I️t is okay to come as you are and just be present.
I just need time. Mainly time to reflect. Time to say, I’m not ok right now, but I will be if I slow down and reflect on what I can change. Not on what I cannot change.
I learned that it’s right and good to give myself permission to be kind to myself.
Odd way to start
Focusing on all the stress in my head seems an odd way to start a meditation but remembering what’s important is a good way to finish. The little things make such a difference
What matters in the moment
Another great reminder to extend kindness to myself. Also the reflection that the business of the day stays in your body
I need to let go of everything else and focus on the important things. It's okay to take time for myself
Caring for yourself is the most important thing to do. That reminding yourself to care at least once a day is important.
I need to think about myself sometimes. My life is always about everyone else and I get forgotten in my own mind.
It’s important to make sure that I am taking care of myself, even if it that means just eating some French toast
I learned that I have to remember that I need to take time to worry about my body and relax
Being kind to myself
Was a good reminder in this meditation. Healing and kindness to my body and mind is why I’m here.
What is important to me
Today I got to reflect on my values through this meditation - have I been embodying my values every day? My answer is no and I have a lot of work to do.
Releasing the stress
I was very agitated and tense all day today for different reasons. The piece actually helped me be able to let go of the tension both in my mind and in my body.
I let my friend experience
She loved it. It made he drift away into almost another dimension. She is going to get the app.
My thought manifest in the form of a basket of laundry. The thoughts themselves aren’t terrible or worrisome, but in a basket of a bunch of other thoughts they are overwhelming. Now imagine those clothes have squirrels inside them and are running all over the place. All I’m trying to do is sort them but they keep jumping and bumbling around. I find myself really called to not put off thinking about things. To go ahead and process and deal in the moment.
Not even meditation has been able to help me theses last couples days. Mt chest hurrs so bad, i know in my brain that it is possibly just anxiety, but i can not rest and feel relaxed and happy with that much pain.
Keep trying to let go and be happy
I feel better after this little session
I learned that I have to refocus on myself and my body by taking care of it.
I struggle with focusing on what is important in the moment. Because of the type of work that I do, I am trained to always be thinking ahead. It is hard to turn off my forward-thinking mind and to focus on the moment. These practices are slowly teaching me to be more focused an what is important in this moment.
In the moment
Learning to refocus on what’s important in the moment is something I really need to keep practicing. My mind is always everywhere at once coming up with plans A,B,C, and D because of life experience and the kind of work I do. Ive both learned and been trained to anticipate all outcomes and not be caught off guard. It makes it hard to every be in the moment. I actually loved this one today on my way to work. Literally the only thing actually important is that I arrive safely. Not traffic or that I’m a few minutes late or that the day will be busy. Just arrive safely.
The necessity of taking care of ourselves
I learned that the fundamental thing is to take care of ourselves. Thank you for this meditation. 😊
i need to focus on the basics and the bigger picture not what i’m stressed about in the moment
Putting Self in the “now”
“There is only one time when it’s essential to awaken. The time is now “ (The Buddha)
These are days of great emotional difficulty for me - trying to work with family members to deal with the mental illness of a family member. Everyone is frustrated and even getting angry with each other. Thanks to meditations, and my own growing understanding of universal compassion (including for oneself) and understanding that it is rare that a person is ‘wilfully’ bad or malevolent- helps me to keep a sympathetic, and loving attitude and strength to carry through.
Nurturing compassion in oneself makes you stronger, peaceful and enables one to help effectively. Note that the ‘compassion’ here is not purely emotional, but the joy of experiencing harmony and love among “all things great and small “.
I learned that what is important in any moment, every moment, for that matter, is just that moment. Jon Kabat-Zinn, in his book by the same name, says, “wherever you go, there you are,” which to me is the essence of mindfulness.
This meditation reminded me and I am me, I do not have to be anything but me. I need to let my true self shine through.
I learned that even though life is forcing you to walk faster, you can always will yourself to slow down, take an emergency break, and catch up with your breath.
Some things come and go. Have to work out what is important.
Kristy has a very soothing atmosphere
I need to pause and remember to quiet my mind. I visualized sweeping out my thoughts as I practiced this meditation.
Recently I live in a constant stress. Aura helps me to calm down but sometimes is so hard... I keep trying to be more relaxed.
To think about yourself first. To put that in yourself. It’s hard to do things for us.
I am reminded to care for me, be present.
There is hope for healing fear of present. Loving myself is optimum. Anxiety is about caring for myself, wanting to be connected and loved.
In this moment
Mindfulness and reminding ourselves what is important at this very moment is a fantastic practice. It slows me down to say hey...I’ve got this. Don’t get ahead of yourself. Work on you and then move on.
Love this piece.
I was awake before the alarm. Already my mind was filling up with worries and troubles. This was a good pause and reminder
