This guided meditation invites the listener to practice the powerful technique of 'waiting it out' with physical and emotional tension. Often, our tendency is to try and change our experience of tension (emotional or physical) to get to a state of relaxation, however, this can often backfire. A more advanced practice is to 'wait it out' rather than trying to shift state, and observe how this naturally leads the body and system into a state of deep rest and ease. There is no call back at the end of the meditation, in case you want to use it to fall asleep. So if you need to be awake at a certain time, set a timer or alarm for yourself, so you can rest fully into the practice knowing you will come out at the end.
