Trusting...
Going through challenging times, we soon realize there will be times of gains and sometimes there will be times of setbacks. It is during those setbacks where we find ourselves vulnerable in the game of life. As I write this reflection, I find myself feeling helpless and scared. My beautiful boy has had a major setback and Iโ€™m not sure what is going to happen. As I recognized these feelings in my belly and heart, I took in three deep breaths. Giving myself compassion by placing one hand on my heart and the other on my belly, I began to think of my inner sanctuary where I always feel safe. Feeling safe, I thought of a time when someone was kind to me. Bringing up this time introduced feelings of gratitude. Then I thought of times that I paid it forward in giving kindness to others. Seeing their eyes light up from my generosity in my minds eye created feelings of happiness. Feeling much better than when I did when I first listened to this meditation, I will go about my day trusting that God, the universe, the Source of all knowing, has got my back. Vulnerability and Resilience
Our natural response to stress is the fight/flight response. This results in procrastination, which in turn increases the stress levels. By soothing yourself and giving yourself reminders that stress is natural and safe, itโ€™s possible to overcome that reflex ans be more effective in how you deal with stress.

Vulnerability
Recognize what you are feeling. Tell yourself it is okay to feel that way. Then use your own hands to calm yourself.

Humidity as Vulnerability
When I am right sized, allowing myself to be open to Godโ€™s plan, I find humility as a character asset within vulnerable self.
