Day 1
I liked the tree visualization. It helped me stay mindful more than other meditations have in the past. I’m hopeful that I can carry it with me throughout the day.

Veterans Day 11-11-17
One of my favorite books as a child is The Giving Tree, so to hear this meditation was quite amazing. We need to nourish our bodies with water, breathing and such like a tree so we can grow into this beautiful piece of nature that was created for Earth for all to see and for all to enjoy. Thank you for all the Veterans, inc myself. God bless you all!

Great grounding exercise!
I like the way the narrator says you can access this experience at any time because you have created it in your mind. It’s empowering to know that despite what may be occurring in our external environment we have the ability to turn inward for just a few minutes to create a sense of inner calm we have at our disposal to then improve our response to our external experiences.

The Tree
We are supported by so many “roots” - family, friends, co-workers, even strangers sometimes. It is important to keep the image of the tree in our mind, lest we forget to look around for a little extra support. Also, to see if one of our support system needs a little help.

Meditate with nature
It’s so beautiful to meditate and breathe looking out at the mountains in Los Angeles and the lovely Mediterranean rooftops and palm trees of this area and neighborhood called playa Vista!

Be a Tree
Be a tree. Let us empower ourselves and seek to find a sense of inner-strength. Before we take on the world, we must first learn to stand firm on our own—steady on our roots. Then, like a tree, we branch out and grow.

Eucalyptus Deglupta
About four years ago, with a few friends, I happened to be taking a short-cut to this meeting, by foot, when we saw this prominently standing tree that obviously had been painted on. Initially, I felt bad for it. I walked up to it, cautiously, as it was on someone’s property and gently touched it. Admittedly, I spoke to it and apologized on behalf of my race for its abuse. Closer examination, I realized the paint appeared to be embedded in the bark of the tree. I looked this up and found out about “Rainbow Trees, or Eucalyptus,” and I fell in love. They’re absolutely stunning. I was naive and never heard of these majestic and awesome acts of nature. Today’s meditation I was absorbed into one and felt connected with my symbol of hope in a time I was broke and taking short-cuts to meetings in 98 degree weather and fate had me find beauty I may never have known about. - Namaste

Disappointed
I have loved the Aura app but did an update to this morning and for the first time I had a repeat of a meditation that I had a few weeks ago - not something I saved or enjoyed that much the first time. The meditation had been tweaked just a wee bit but actually wasn’t as good as it was the first time. I was disappointed.

It felt really good to close my eyes and visualize a beautiful scenery, taking in the thoughts, breathing steadily. This genuinely might help with stress relief, especially before going to bed.

Mediatstion can come from a more aware, awake place too. Ive been pretty happy these last few days- i mean I'm on vacation in CA. But its important to remember the practice, to stay rooted but flexible even on good days. It helps keep me from being knocked off the path when bad days come. I am committed to making this growth longitudinal... not unlike the tree 😊

🌲 Take a moment.
I was a little sad an anxious before I listened to this. I got the sense of stopping for a minute to pull myself towards myself and to be a little less hard on myself. I broke away from my thoughts. Although I’m not immediately happy, the anxiety has reduced, tremendously.

So easy
This visualization was so amazing because I went to a place I have been previously. I leaned my back against a giant Sequoia tree in Muir Woods in California. As I nestled into the base and roots I felt right at home and totally relaxed. Getting nourishment from a tree such as this makes perfect sense to me as it has been there so many, many years growing sturdy, strong, and virtually indestructible. I intend to visit my tree often...it was surprisingly pleasant to be there again.❤️

Support
I have a great support system around me, but an area I have struggled with is at work. (I’m a teacher) People think they are supporting me by telling me I’m a good teacher but that is not what I’m looking for. I feel like I’m reaching out for help and not getting it. This meditation helped me see that I need to consider some changes in order to get the support I need.

Once Again .....
I found myself leaning back against a Giant Sequoia in Muir Woods in California. Without hesitation, whenever I do this meditation, my mind simply plunks me down in this beautiful, strong, silent and earthy place. I can’t fathom a more fitting environment from which to gather strength, nourishment and peace. I highly recommend it!!

Connection with Earth
There is a huge acorn tree in my grandmothers yard that my father planted when he was a boy over 60 years ago. The base is wide, the roots are deep. As a child we would climb it’s limbs, have acorn fights, laughing with joy as the nuts bounced off each other’s head. It served as a base for countless games of hide and go seek. We would dream of building a tree house high up and live among the leaves in the sky. In those moments everything was right in the world. #Namaste #OmShanti

An easy visualization
It is typically very difficult for me to visualize during meditation. No matter how many books I’ve read about it or workbooks that I’ve tried to complete, it is still very difficult. However, this meditation with Lauren made it feel very easy to picture myself like a tree.

Tree Visualization
I usually get too tied up with the details of realistic visualizations to get much out of them, but I love the forest and trees so maybe that’s why this one worked so well for me. It took a moment to mentally “pick” the type of tree, but then the effect really kicked in. The energy flow and relaxation were amazing for such a short meditation! It is definitely one of my favorites!
