Honey
Is my reminder to be kind. A wise friend always told me you attract more friends with honey. I have always like this saying more than kill them with kindness. In my world kindness never killed anyone. Sweetness (a.k.a honey) does attract more people.

Parenting...
Excellent story to show the life shaping power of parenting! Every little child has basically an unlimited memory bank that soaks up information like a sponge. As parents we have the major responsibility to make sure they experience & record the most positive, loving & compassionate inputs as possible. We should also expose them to all the good & beneficial situations & stories we can give them as well as teach them the 10 Commandments - Honor your mother & father for example. ❤️☮️🍀

Life is cyclical...
What you sow, you'll surely reap! I attended my own maternal grandfather throughout his final days, and his inevitable deterioration was sad to experience! Having always been such a strong presence in my life, I was more than happy to attend to his every need, though it took me away from my own wife and children for days and weeks on end. It's the price we pay as family, and my wife and I likewise attended my wife’s great aunt’s final days of life... Happily so! We didn't do it for any reward, just the duty of family...we’ll soon do the same for her maternal grandmother unfortunately, and when Nona passes, we’ll be out of grandparents entirely... I'm sad to have missed the passing of my father’s parents, having moved far from home to start my own life, marriage and family several hours from them.😰

The wooden bowl
I felt so sad for the grandfather! I laughed when the little boy told his father what he was doing. As a parent, I can certainly relate to the story. It reminded me of a time nearly a half century ago when I overheard my daughter scolding one of her dolls. Hearing my harsh words in her little voice was a rude awakening. Thankfully, I was able to recognize the need to change my behavior, for a while anyway. I wish it was the only time I had that experience and now wonder how many times I didn’t recognize it. Mindfulness can certainly help one be a good role model. I hope it gets into elementary schools across America.

What you give comes back around
I cried for the grandpa and for the 4 year old because what the parents where teaching him was not ok. You should treat everyone with respect and kindness. ESPECIALLY your own grandpa/elder. He was trying his hardest and all they did was criticize him for it.

Have Compassion
This story was interesting. It reminded me that we need to have compassion for others. Also, remember to be kind as one day this could be you in the same situation.

Day 1
This story made me a little teary. It goes to show that sometimes wisdom and wiseness can come from the youngest children. People need to be treated equally no matter how they look or act. It shouldn’t matter if they are different. We all have differences and similarities. “Treat others how you want to be treated”
