Enjoy an Attention Restoration Meditation at least every 90 minutes at work. Give your mind a self-compassion break so that you can resume work with renewed focus. Put aside the time needed to be full with this meditation and use earphones so that you can block out noise in your environment. After enjoying the meditation, give yourself a few moments to sit and simply “be.”

After an hour and a half meditation as I made a protection necklace for my daughter(while listening to nature sounds) this is just what I needed to bring my mind back to only the sounds of the nature! The necklace is turning out beautiful also ;-)

Reverence is a beautiful word to describe the gifts of nature. The soothing sounds of nature are always there if only we take the time to listen. Sometimes the sounds can also be silence.

I learned that my mind has been capable of such quiet but at times when my life is very busy I often find myself in a meditative hurricane where I have some kind of stillness but my thoughts are still swirling around me. And it's at that moment where I have to try harder to calm the storm surrounding me so all that is left is quiet with the occasional leaf that floats by. 🍂

I found this extremely pleasing. I was lying on my bed, hearing the sounds, and envisaging me floating in a calm river in the Amazon hearing the crickets, and birds. This really calmed and cantered myself

The sounds of nature was a great enhancement to the meditation. When my mind wondered I was able to refocus on the sounds, appreciating all that I have and the little things. My heart filled with love, my body with light.

I can be easy on myself when I’m not perfect. Being gentle and easy on myself feels good and encourages me to do better. Whereas being hard on myself makes me feel ashamed and discouraged. Training my mind to focus can be done with love and persistence, gentleness and compassion.

I do love nature sounds, but I have used them for years as a relaxation technique to fall to sleep...being served a sound-based session here at Aura offers me no insight to myself or my life. It just makes me feel sleepy. 😞

Sounds around me
I loved the sounds in the meditation. Bird song brings a smile to my face and helps me relax. They sound so sweet. The frog (I am guessing it was a frog) made me laugh. With all the sounds it was like the animals were a symphony. I did fade in and out with thoughts, I found it much easier to bring myself back from the thoughts without judgement. It was very smooth. Great meditation.

I learned that.... when i close my eyes and start to meditate on my own and ignoring all my other surroundings and to just let my mind wander off somewhere else, that it is completely normal to do so and i also learned that i should take deep breaths to calm myself down at times when i’m upset and to just live peacefully and quietly throughout the entire session. Overall, this session was very calming and relaxing and the music was excellent to meditate to.

I am either totally at peace or brain dead. I heard the birds and noted the water moving but did not have a thought pop up that needed my attention!?! I am going with the totally at peace idea because I am able to type this now. Would probably be a good session if you were feeling stressed out, but thankfully I am not (at least not at this time). ❤️☮️

180 blissful seconds...
Feeling in a rut? Frustrated? I was too. I decided to add a meditation to my normal practice to focus on nothing but the sounds of nature and my breath. I came out of the meditation calmer and more in tune with my own needs. This was a much needed break. 🌻

Sometimes I get frustrated at the options available for how I’m feeling so I end up saying stuff like “okay” when the answer is “exhausted”. But this nature meditation is great regardless. For me exhaustion leads to a shorter fuse and the running water let me forget that.

I was trying to tune it out because of disappointment. I learned that it is my fault for the stress that i have. It is me who chooses to procrastinate and that does not manage my time well. Now i am in a tough position where i think i might fail a class and be on probation. I feel like a failure to my family. If i fail this class and they find out they will be extremely disappointed in me. I will be disappointed in myself. I KNOW that i can do better. But here i am second guessing myself. I find myself constantly thinking can i really do this. Can i really be a nurse. My final goal is to be an OBGYN but here i am stressing over a beginner bio class. This has truly been a learning experience.

Relaxing...?
I was transported to my pond area... listening to the waterfall and the occasional frog was very relaxing. Then I remembered the upgrades I have wanted to do to that area & my mind wandered into designer/project manager mode. While I lost some serenity, I did come up with a slick idea so I am still counting it as a win! 🐸❤️🍀

I learned that sometimes I need to take time to concentrate on myself and stop worrying and thinking of the problems I had throughout the day. To concentrate on myself. I learned that I need to simply bring my mind back to thinking of the happy environmental sounds when my mind wanders to the problems of the day. It is hard but slowly I will get used to it and be able to happily concentrate on myself for the 3 minutes that is dedicated to concentrating.

The relaxing sound of water made me almost feel like I was in a different place, and like I was sitting by a beautiful river without any worries or problems.

The first time I was so far in a trance, it felt like I left my body. Is that even possible? It felt intense and also very scary so I pulled out. The second time I tried it again, saying to myself that this time I will try the full 3 minutes. But I locked myself out of that feeling, and it didnt happen again. Sadly! Because it felt amazing. But it was still very relaxing.

Today I was 20 minutes late getting off work; I was rushing to leave and it was stressing me out. There is something about being or feeling rushed by other people that irritates me. I never understood why people feel the need to rush throughout their day or lives; being patient and taking your time will leave you stress and worry free.
