Enjoy an Attention Restoration Meditation at least every 90 minutes at work. Give your mind a self-compassion break so that you can resume work with renewed focus. Put aside the time needed to be fully with this meditation and use earphones so that you can block out noise in your environment. After enjoying the meditation, give yourself a few moments to sit and simply “be.” Nature sounds and image courtesy of listeningearth.com.
I thought I did this meditation already. I think this new iOS is messing things up.
After an hour and a half meditation as I made a protection necklace for my daughter(while listening to nature sounds) this is just what I needed to bring my mind back to only the sounds of the nature! The necklace is turning out beautiful also ;-)
The Source: an Attention Restoration Meditation
Reverence is a beautiful word to describe the gifts of nature. The soothing sounds of nature are always there if only we take the time to listen. Sometimes the sounds can also be silence.
I started my day with strong intentions & positivity. Then shame set in. I slowed down. I started avoiding the things I set out to do today. I started ignoring my body & mind. This mediation gave me the confidence I needed to keep going.
Still sounds nice to me...
I found this to be very relaxing!
Nature is cool
Nature sounds are the best. Really gets you out of that urban-officey headspace for a minute
Focusing on the tranquility of this meditation grounded and centered me and my mind.
My 'go to' meditation for a mental time out
I love this meditation for those times that I just need a mental escape - it lets my mind become calm and quiet during chaos.
I remembered being out in the garden and touching the flowers for comfort.
This particular meditation and the beautiful soundscape of bird song and water calmed me right to my core. So simple, so clearly part of our own nature. 🙏
Remember what it feels like
I learned that my mind has been capable of such quiet but at times when my life is very busy I often find myself in a meditative hurricane where I have some kind of stillness but my thoughts are still swirling around me. And it's at that moment where I have to try harder to calm the storm surrounding me so all that is left is quiet with the occasional leaf that floats by. 🍂
Sounds of nature
Delightful, especially before going to bed! I will listen to again. 😌
I learned that laughing, even at yourself... heals. I learned to not take life to serious and enjoy the moments of raw realness.
I learned that if I just take the time to stop and breath a little, everything feels much better. The weight of my day just goes away.
In the park
It’s been a rough day for me and i’m so anxious the whole day. But now im in the park and just finished exercising and now meditating with nature. Thank God for this blessed evening.
A new day
I have skipped my daily meditation a few days and I see the difference. Goal to sit down and take a few minutes to myself. The past few days have been stressful. The nature sounds were very enjoyable and relaxing.
I have been skipping and want to get a full streak of 5 days.
I realized that when I am stressed I put everything off especially time for myself. This helped me focus on that again.
I learned that nature has a very soothing effect on me. It ‘s sounds are relaxing and mesmerizing. I will listen to this often!
Sounds of Nature (Source: an Attention...)
I found this extremely pleasing.
I was lying on my bed, hearing the sounds, and envisaging me floating in a calm river in the Amazon hearing the crickets, and birds. This really calmed and cantered myself
This morning’s mediation
The sounds of nature was a great enhancement to the meditation. When my mind wondered I was able to refocus on the sounds, appreciating all that I have and the little things. My heart filled with love, my body with light.
I can be easy on myself when I’m not perfect. Being gentle and easy on myself feels good and encourages me to do better. Whereas being hard on myself makes me feel ashamed and discouraged. Training my mind to focus can be done with love and persistence, gentleness and compassion.
Nature sounds again😞
I do love nature sounds, but I have used them for years as a relaxation technique to fall to sleep...being served a sound-based session here at Aura offers me no insight to myself or my life. It just makes me feel sleepy. 😞
Nature is a easy and helpful way to relieve stress. You can step out side and relax and listen
Brings me always back to what is really important in my life when I get lost in the daily smoke and mirrors.
Eco park rest stoo
Nice to spend a few minutes with nature, appreciating the constant yet ever changing sounds. Namaste
I learned that it is nice to dwell in the fantasies you had as a child.
My attention was unfocused and restless as I began the meditation. I noticed as I focused on the task and the sounds of nature, I was very soothed and I liked the idea of bringing that soothing experience with me for the rest of the day.
This was great. When my mind wondered, I could bring my focus back to the sounds of chirping birds and the river flowing.
I enjoyed today. I reconnected with a wonderful friend who always puts a smile on my face. We planned a meet up for August and I can’t wait!! I am so thankful for today.
Sounds around me
I loved the sounds in the meditation. Bird song brings a smile to my face and helps me relax. They sound so sweet. The frog (I am guessing it was a frog) made me laugh. With all the sounds it was like the animals were a symphony.
I did fade in and out with thoughts, I found it much easier to bring myself back from the thoughts without judgement. It was very smooth. Great meditation.
I need to let my mind go and feel more relaxed than I did this time. The sounds were beautiful. I wouldn’t mind getting lost in it next time instead of having a mind full of thoughts.
A wonderful beginning
I felt the sudden change in atmosphere. The sounds allowed me to change phase. Wonderful experience.
This is one of the best things I have done today and it really relaxed be after a hard day.
I learned that there is more to the world than just what’s going on in my life right now, and there are bigger and better things I should think about, and that my silly problems won’t matter soon.
I learned that, life is so much more than just worrying about school or work. Sometimes you just have to stop and smell the roses
I learned that just taking even 3 minutes before bed or even before starting your day will help you feel peaceful whether it’s to help u relax to sleep better or to just start your day without worries.
It really does make me just want to set down my phone and enjoy the sounds that nature brings to us.
don’t take your phone for granted there’s more things out there to explore rather than the internet
Very calming. Loved it
Excellent. 100% 5 stars. It made me feel so at peace. It cleared my mind and I can sleep better now.
I feel relaxed and it made me feel less stress and happy. I think this app helps me with stress!
i learned that just by listening to calm sounds and natural sounds makes yourself calm
Connected to nature and relaxed with the atmosphere to the world
I learned that.... when i close my eyes and start to meditate on my own and ignoring all my other surroundings and to just let my mind wander off somewhere else, that it is completely normal to do so and i also learned that i should take deep breaths to calm myself down at times when i’m upset and to just live peacefully and quietly throughout the entire session. Overall, this session was very calming and relaxing and the music was excellent to meditate to.
are like friendships
bridges take time to build
and must be based on solid foundations
if done correctly
they can take us anywhere
to the future
across the river
to the island of common ground and mutual understanding
bridges can comfort the lonely
prevent a war
feed the hungry
but there are no short cuts

as time goes by” - H.H.
All the sounds were extremely calming and soothing just as they should be. How many times we may have come upon this in our life and not appreciated it. Thank you
Day after sleepless night
I feel good. Didn’t sleep last night but now that the situation is over I feel much better. I was able to focus more in the session than yesterday
Nothing calms my mind more than the sounds of nature. What a wonderful gift this meditation is.
I learned that the 3 minutes was just right. Was able to focus and felt a bit more relaxed afterwards.
The sound of nature is the most soothing thing. It makes you realize the beauty that surrounds us.
i felt a little better.. it’s calms me down . the head space i’m in has me stressed out . listening to the nature sounds soothes me.
I am either totally at peace or brain dead. I heard the birds and noted the water moving but did not have a thought pop up that needed my attention!?!
I am going with the totally at peace idea because I am able to type this now. Would probably be a good session if you were feeling stressed out, but thankfully I am not (at least not at this time).
180 blissful seconds...
Feeling in a rut? Frustrated? I was too. I decided to add a meditation to my normal practice to focus on nothing but the sounds of nature and my breath. I came out of the meditation calmer and more in tune with my own needs. This was a much needed break. 🌻
Love this one with nature sounds. It is always easy for me to meditate with nature as a backdrop. Nature is my happy place.
Really enjoyed this nature meditation. The sounds helped to relax and ease tension in my body. So go to just be with nature anytime.
Sometimes I get frustrated at the options available for how I’m feeling so I end up saying stuff like “okay” when the answer is “exhausted”. But this nature meditation is great regardless. For me exhaustion leads to a shorter fuse and the running water let me forget that.
Nature and Relaxation
This was a beautiful relaxing meditation. I should return to this to feel a deeper connection with nature. 🌳 🦋
Beautiful and relaxing
It was soothing and energy restoring, which was exactly what my mind needed.
Tuning Out the Noise
Cacophony is particularly hard on my anxiety. I try to focus on one sound in the morass to quiet the others.
This was my favorite meditation so far. I didn’t stop to see how much time was remaining even once.
I was able to fully transport myself when I’m closed my eyes just by focusing on the sounds.
I felt safe I ignored everything that was bringing me down and finding my happiest place.
Reverence of Nature
I honestly enjoy the sounds of nature in my own environment. The sounds of real nature are actually filmed with snakes, poisonous plants and carnivores. That’s what I focused on as I sought refuge from a wild boar.;)
Great nature sounds to soothe and relax you while meditating!
Nature truly restores my soul and spirit. So relaxing and soothing.
i noticed that this meditation helped my ground my self and feel fully relaxed and helped me prepare to get ready for bed in a couple of hours
I noticed this meditation was uncomfortable at first become it was where I wanted to be physically. I felted that summer will be almost over soon and I haven't had a vacation.
I was trying to tune it out because of disappointment.
I continue to listen to the soothing sound of nature natural environment a few times and it did help me relax and focused on the awareness of the sounds of nature Forrest. Soothing
Enveloped in sound
Sitting at my dining room table taking a forced study break due to a technical issue and I’m transported to natural surroundings. Very nice and healthful. Namaste.
Made me smile
I really needed this at this very moment, it’s exactly what I needed, soft rain in the background and birds chirping softly. Can’t think of a better way to relax. Thanks Aura 🌞
7 pleasant minutes in nature 🦋🕊🌳
One of my favorite ways to start the day is to listen to a nature sound meditation.
My mind deliberately wanders to a pleasant place and for 7 minutes I’m able to just let go of everything. Thanks Aura 🙏
Day 2: session #2 of the day
I started this meditation not feeling so great but it definitely enhanced my mood and made me feel a little bit more motivated
This reminded me of a cold winter day when I took my girls to the conservatory. What a great memory! How great to go back there again in my mind.
I had my headphones in and turned all the way up. It felt so real, like I was by a river and surrounded by birds chirping. I felt like I was really there, in perfect bliss.
I learned that it is my fault for the stress that i have. It is me who chooses to procrastinate and that does not manage my time well. Now i am in a tough position where i think i might fail a class and be on probation. I feel like a failure to my family. If i fail this class and they find out they will be extremely disappointed in me. I will be disappointed in myself. I KNOW that i can do better. But here i am second guessing myself. I find myself constantly thinking can i really do this. Can i really be a nurse. My final goal is to be an OBGYN but here i am stressing over a beginner bio class. This has truly been a learning experience.
Naturalistic vibrations tend to permeate love and happiness through ones mind, heart, and day 💡
Relaxed and Peaceful
I felt very relaxed and kept telling my self to be humble for some reason. I felt like I need to escape the world sometimes and think about myself for a while.
I'm glad the focus was on the sounds of nature so I could focus on what I wanted to: the peace that God has given me
A Simple time
The sounds of nature bring me back to a simpler time, where many of my struggles and worries were nonexistent. It’s good to reflect on such times
I loved this ambient meditation so much. I felt like was really laying on a bed of grass beside a brook in a thriving forest. Happy place ♡
Take a moment in everyday if it’s in the morning or at night or maybe a time when you are really stressed out. Right now I’m in the back of my car today I have a lot of things to do and sitting here isn’t one of them but maybe I can make it one. Take a little time out of your day to do this.
nature is healing
This is perfect. I was able to not think for those few minutes while I Listened to nature
I learned that I find nature and rainforest sounds extremely relaxing and I am grateful for knowing this.
This session helped me remember how calming and wonderful the natural world is. The difference between nature and normal life is strong, and I know how and when to appreciate both.
This is the best so far
I prefer the nature sounds over most, and this is my first find so far
I have been very tense for the past several days and unable to relax. The sounds of nature did help to relax me this morning, albeit temporarily.
This exercise was good for helping me focus on my surroundings and noises.
Is Amazing! Realy relax. Tienes contacto con con naturaleza y te hace pensar en ti mismo.
This meditation is wonderful to begin your day with or throughout your day. These sounds of nature really soothes you. It is nice to be able to take a break and imagining simply being in this place of nature. It truly nurtures your soul. Have a wonderful day! ❤️🙏🏻😊
I was transported to my pond area... listening to the waterfall and the occasional frog was very relaxing. Then I remembered the upgrades I have wanted to do to that area & my mind wandered into designer/project manager mode. While I lost some serenity, I did come up with a slick idea so I am still counting it as a win!
I learned that sometimes I need to take time to concentrate on myself and stop worrying and thinking of the problems I had throughout the day. To concentrate on myself. I learned that I need to simply bring my mind back to thinking of the happy environmental sounds when my mind wanders to the problems of the day. It is hard but slowly I will get used to it and be able to happily concentrate on myself for the 3 minutes that is dedicated to concentrating.
Water noise makes my worries feel distant
The relaxing sound of water made me almost feel like I was in a different place, and like I was sitting by a beautiful river without any worries or problems.
The first time I was so far in a trance, it felt like I left my body. Is that even possible? It felt intense and also very scary so I pulled out. The second time I tried it again, saying to myself that this time I will try the full 3 minutes. But I locked myself out of that feeling, and it didnt happen again. Sadly! Because it felt amazing. But it was still very relaxing.
Attention Restoration Meditation
This meditation was like traveling to another place... It was magical and exciting.
Today I was 20 minutes late getting off work; I was rushing to leave and it was stressing me out. There is something about being or feeling rushed by other people that irritates me. I never understood why people feel the need to rush throughout their day or lives; being patient and taking your time will leave you stress and worry free. In today’s meditation session I never felt better. I’m now feeling stress free and worry free
I learned that sometimes the simplest meditations can really allow for profound reflection.
