This parable is about receiving and being open to support.  It also invites questions around faith.

Sometimes we put our faith to the test, & leave our situations at the mercy of it, not realizing that we can take action -do something, to better ourselves & even the situation itself. We ask for a sign, but almost always, dont realize that the signs are right in front of our eyes. Dont dismis it; dont ignore it. Allow people to help you in times of need, even if it comes from the last person you were expecting. Dont drown because you are waiting for a certain someone to get you out.
The Man and the Flood
Don't over look the small blessings while looking for the large one! Don't turn them away. They are everywhere
Take What You Are Given
I learned that in life we can’t always expected a certain gift to be given to us and we will be much better off excepting the gifts that are given to us first.
Accepting Help
This story is a great reminder that when others show up to help you out in difficult times to accept their help. Asking for help is a strength. Not a weakness.
Support and faith support and faith
This story reminds me that I need to except support from other people I have a tendency of like the old man in the flood learning this lesson the hard way, sometimes more than once I am grateful that O’Hara hi stories like this which offer lessons the people can use. In particular the lesson of the story about excepting support, our users can learn the lesson from this story to a boil having to learn the hard way through their own steaks as I have. I also find it interesting that destroyed kind of implies that God can be found in the kindness of strangers not to make anyone uncomfortable but this story seems like it’s trying to make a point but higher powers regardless of what any individual calls them and the universe in general rather than just assuming exit blend Robinson oh blind devotion we all keep an eye out for the nice things given to us by the universe through the kindness i’m strangers we made him feel the babies things we may develop these things and use them to help ourselves and others sticky situation real faith is excepting others I’m not putting yourselfI’m a pedestal again I apologize if I mean preachy this is just what the story makes me think of have a lovely day
The man and the flood
God is in the details, the quiet guidance, the gut feeling. I need to keep my eyes open
