Great mindfulness moments and gratitude practices.
It only takes a few minutes to be mindful throughout the day.

Very Helpful
I find the sessions that focus on awareness of the body (e.g., hands, head, etc.) help to relieve tension while promoting mindfulness. Works for me!

Solar eclipse
The solar eclipse is the story of the sun and the moon coming together because that once in a lifetime experience shows how deep their love is for each other to where they break the rules and live together for a couple minutes

My body was too heavy for this session and was left weighted down. I needed something that would keep on the happy high but it didnt succeed.

Reconnecting with my body
By focusing my energy and thoughts on my hands I felt new sensations, and appreciations for the body part used so often and given so little thought. I will go through my day with incredible gratitude and insight to all the things my hands do for me including typing this.

Midnight Meditation
I felt at ease and peaceful as I calmed myself down. Every day is stressing at a busy household which also converts into a business for elderly boarding care. But with every moment I had to relax and not letting the negativity and stress push me down.

Relaxation through focus
The focus on the hands and namely single parts of it allowed me a deep awareness moving from my hands into the body. I enjoyed a beautiful moment of perfect peace and relaxation

Present
It is important to stay present, and feel yourself in your current surroundings. It will ease the worry of future thoughts and anxieties.

My Hands
My hands help me to perform so many tasks each day and appreciated the special attention today. Now I plan to reward them with some nice, nourishing lotion.

Hands
This meditation was unexpectedly welcomed. So much is done with our hands each day.... Funny how often we don't intentionally focus on this special part of our body.

Hands
Meditation through movement- I like that concept, and there is much less chance of falling asleep! Focusing on the movement of a single body part or in this case set of parts. Made me re-appreciate and respect my hands. I wonder how it would be if I focused on a sore body part-I’ll try to remember to try that next time i get a sore spot.

Just shifting
I found that the exercise focusing on the sensations in the hands was not so much about the hands, but training the mind to STOP focusing on the windstorms of my plans for the day and the coming week. I am not trying to solve the problems of the coming week, I am trying to Fully Be Right Here Right Now

Focus on the body
As I focused on my hands I realized the amount of work they do each day. The epiphany helped me understand that though I may not be where I would like to be in life, I am still making progress.

Never a second thought...
I never give my hands a second thought, it felt good to recognize them and appreciate them for all they do for me. I’m fortunate to have very big hands. It makes me have more sympathy for our President who has small hands. At least on this point I can sympathize with him...

Wiggly appendages
After an intensive workout (not a New Years resolution just a necessity) I found my poor abused arms welcomed the relief of only hands being moved. In truth it was a relief all round for all my body parts. I believe my husband was also pleased as it is bed time and he won’t have to listen to me complaining about pain. In all seriousness thank you Lyndi, my pain is temporary but the need to focus on one part has relieved another parts pain.

Loving hands
Attaining to the hands something cool and calming. It is a way to relax and shift away the focus from the mind.

Hand & Heart Beating Together 💙
This meditation surprised me, I wasn’t expecting that I would feels the sensations I did. When I focused on different parts of my left hand and how it felt I actually felt the sensations and at the end my whole left hand felt totally different than my right. When I move to the right hand it was hard at first to stop feeling the left hand but eventually I did and both my hands felt like they were alive and I could feel my heart beat in them and it was a totally cool feeling.

Hands
This was a small yet very massive meditation. It helped me focus on a body part I never pay attention to unless it’s in pain.

Day 3
I found that my hands felt very heavy when i was focusing on them and this is not a sensation i normally recognize. I also didn't gain the same calming feeling as I do while focusing my breathing so I was struggling to really calm my thoughts. I think with more attention to breathing and sending those breaths to my hands i'll be able to accomplish a deeper feeling of calm.

Paying attention
Tuning into my body is something I’ve stopped doing as I’ve become older and my body starts to feel the years and the ways in which I don’t treat it the best it’s nice to tune in and refresh the senses in each part of my body. This hands exercise made me move and stretch my hands and it just felt good.

Weird...
This was definitely a new one, nice to know I won’t be expecting the same thing each time. It really brought me to think about meditation a different way!

Helping my hands
This was wonderful for me as it focused me on something other than my breathing. When I only focus on my breathing it makes me anxious as it draws my attention to the palpitations in my heart. Also I have arthritis in my hands and doing the gentle exercises frkt lovely. Thank you

Thankfulness
I use my hands a lot. I do a lot of needlework, horseback riding, petting animals, writing, typing. And I never really take a chance to thank my hands for all they allow me to do. I also didn't realize how distracted I had become. My schedule is hectic for the next few months and I had no clue how badly I needed this time to breath and reconnect with myself. I still cannot believe the effects meditation has had on me. I am so much happier, more optimistic, I am allowing walls built up over many years to finally lower. Or as another post I like said I must not wrap myself in cactus thorns."

Rotation of the hands
I thought that focusing on your hands was a really good idea but it kept saying to rotate your hands which just made my wrists pop a lot and it kinda hurt.

👐🏽
This was an interesting meditation. The hands are an important and especially to me as an Occupational Therapist. I kept thinking that this would be a wonderful intervention to help focus and center a patient on the part of their body that needs healing. I wonder what would happen in medicine if we spoke livingly to the parts of our bodies that need healing?

Meditation, Day 1
Today was my first day using the Aura app to meditate. To be honest, the hand exercise felt so weird at first. I was able to relax after about a minute. The good thing is that I felt pretty good afterwards!
