It's easy to get caught in the rat race and run and run, forgetting what we're doing it all for. Could we find a bit of peace and happiness now, rather than putting it off till the future?

Greatness starts small
I learned that it's not important to be successful at everything as long as you're happy with it

Living...
I truly enjoyed this story! Simple pleasures really are what life is about. Not working harder or longer to make more money (& wearing out your body, mind and/or soul) but making enough and then enjoying life in every way possible. Hopefully we can teach the next generation the wisdom of this story and help them stay focused on what’s truly important! Thank you Jiva for this powerful reminder! ❤️☮️🍀

Simplicity
Enjoying the little things in life makes life worth it. We try to find happiness in things like money, but doing so blinds us from the things we already have that make us just as happy if not happier.

I felt lighter
Thinking about something a little more deeper actually opened my mind a little. It also made we think to stop wanting more and be happy with what I have because in the end it all is the same.

Money doesn’t buy happiness
I used to be a workaholic til last year when I quit a job that was no longer good for my mental well being. I was fortunate to be able to take a few months off to recharge which I needed. I have returned back to work but my focus has shifted as to what is important. It used to be work was always #1 and everything else came after. Now my home life is #1 and work comes 2nd which my boss understands. I’m very fortunate I work for a company that understands this. I’m getting better at balancing work/life. Like the fisherman in this story I make enough to provide for what I need and my family. The true treasure is being present for those important moments and spending time with the important people in my life. As well as making time for myself.

Life is too short to not be happy. Money may buy comfort but it won’t buy inner peace.
