This barrier stops us from living in harmony with ourselves and stops us from ever knowing our true selves. We attempt to dissolve this problem and more in this meditation.

The ego, the voice in our head that gives rise to our identity. An overinflated ego causes us to feel righteous whereas an under inflated ego causes us to shame ourself. Therefore, obtaining a healthy ego is key to our overall well-being. There are five areas in which the ego can hold us back from living our best self. In this amazing and profound meditation, Alex has us recognize each of these areas so we can let go of the parts of the ego that do not serve our higher self. Once eliminated, we can get out of our own way. One by one, I followed Alexโ€™s guidance and went through each of the five areas where my ego doesnโ€™t serve me well. Each time, I used my breath to breathe in goodness and breathe out the parts of my ego that do not serve my higher self. Afterwards, I felt my ego become much more balanced, leading it to be healthy. Ending the meditation with a gratitude practice, I am reminded that I have everything I need in this moment. While there is much debate on whether to embrace a healthy ego or learn ways to rid the ego all together, one thing is for sure: we must embrace the yin and yang of ourself in order to have well-being in our life. Directing the ego
I learned that we can cleanse our ego to bring out our best (and true) self. First off, I love how Alex said โ€œpeace outโ€ at the end, still brought that namaste vibe haha. Running a business, we can always want more sales, more clients, more money... however, by cleansing the ego, I realized what I truly want more is to help more people; to bring them value and service. Yes, I want to serve. Remarkable practice... peace out โœŒ๏ธ

It has been a struggle for me to always be the giver. In my family, friendships, work. Iโ€™m thankful for the beliefs I have in being a person that forgives easily especially wrongs done by family members sometimes. This meditation helped me remember that although I pretend to be โ€œokayโ€ with certain people in my life who are hypocrites and really pick at everything I say and do to find fault toward themโ€ฆ Iโ€™m really harboring a deep resentment and cannot be in their presence for many occasions without wanting to just escape that negative feeling that surrounds me. I want to be able to release this negativity and move on and this has to do with my ego and fear. Thank you Alex, that was great.

Living Our Best Life
This meditation was very inspiring and really allowed me to reflect on my own inner Ego and how it manifests in fear and not allowing us to live our true and authentic selves. I learned that my own internal struggles with the Ego have been present for a very long time without realizing just how much it has impacted my life. What a great reminder, I will listen again ! Is super easy to get caught up in the day-to-day that we forget to sit with ourselves and appreciate the little things or let our ego get in the way of everyday things. I love this in the morning to start my day!

This was a good session. Letting go of different parts of the Ego. The first one was caring about what others think of you. To be sure of yourself, love yourself. Know your truth. You have the power over your own life and what you want it to be. ๐Ÿ’ช
