The Breath got lost in counting
I usually like the breath meditations. All the instructions about counting and holding your breath and repeating, etc. seemed to take my mind off my breath. Poor little brain is exhausted after a day with the darling great grandchildren who are busy toddlers. I probably couldn’t walk and chew gum tonight!

I learned that the meditations where I am counting breaths or focusing on body parts are the most beneficial for me. It makes it easier to stay focused when my brain has the task of counting my inhales/exhales, as opposed to just being. Eventually, I want to be able to keep my mind present when the meditation is not a guided breathing one, however I’ll get there in time and am happy with being able to focus for 3 mins on my breathing. I really like breathing meditation's that encourage you to hold your breath longer than is comfortable or to hold your lungs empty longer then is comfortable, it really shows you with a small way what your body is capable of even at a point of discomfort

I learned that I think about home-work(cleaning etc.) as something that causes extra stress just to mess up my busy day where it is actually a time alone we’re I can be mindful and focus on the self and push out the other daily stress momentarily to recenter myself.

I think that breathing training meditations are important because it’s key to reaching the goal on which I meditate. It’s a common misconception that controlling your thoughts or not having thoughts is the hallmark of a successful meditation. On the contrary, it’s important to instead focus on developing even, rhythmic breaths as second-nature, when meditating. We use our breath, without thinking, to control pain. We hold our breath to stifle emotion. We gasp for breath for pain relief when hurt. We yawn to try to use breath to rejuvenate our brain when bored or tired. Without even breaths, we tend to suppress the emotions that want to arise for us during meditation.

How to deep breathe
This meditation is great for a beginner to teach them how to breathe deeply and slowly. I prefer to count to five or eight and hold for three or four but it's a great guideline on how to actually breathe deeply and calm down and breathe when you're meditating. I'm gonna favorite this one.

I noticed that when I’m breathing deeply I tend to tense up (the exact opposite of what I’m supposed to be doing). Doing this exercise I noticed that I was tensing up as usual, but was able to catch myself and work on relaxing.🙂 Good practice!

Getting back into a routine can be difficult but breathing is the most life sustaining action. So it is natural to begin to reground with this. As difficult as the challenges of the next few months may be Im looking forward to working with myself and my mind. I know I can accomplish these tasks.

I learned that breathing can be practiced more throughout are day and that I need to practice it a little more. I don’t do this enough and it would be more beneficial for me to start doing it more throughout my day. Focusing on my breath helped me stay focused and get me energized for my day. The FREE audio meditation or audio breathing exercise is not timed correctly l. I am sure it has been cropped from one of the PREMIUM versions. I’ve used this before and enjoyed the experience of the exercises but thought only I had just erred in the exercise. This happens sometimes on the FREE meditation media. This audio clip really isn’t meant for 3-4 minutes FREE meditation media. It’s works out fine in the beginning but the instructional timing shortens on the more lengthy breathing exercises after the beginning. This is not the only facilitator that has had poor cropping done to their meditation work for our ears. It’s been more than twice I’ve finished a meditation more stressed than going in. BUT I HAVE USED HER tools, these EXACT breathing exercises, in my own mindfulness meditative practice to be calm, bring peace, ease pain, relax, find my “mental happy space”, reduce BP and HR, etc.... Loving all of the TOOLS and guidance provided!! Much 💕

I got myself to feeling overwhelmed by trying to think about everything going on around me, everything I need to do today, and all that isn’t going the way I’d like. Breathing mindfully helped moved those things to the side so I could actually think without overwhelm.
