We find an easy, natural breathing pattern and attach an affirmation of gratitude, "Thank You". It's a general thank you, and a full on inquiry into what it is you can be thankful for. Gratitude is the understanding that so many things have come together for us to just take one more breath, and that we're a part of something that is a privilege.
I learned that it’s wonderful to begin my night’s rest with a meditation of gratitude and centering. A pleasant reminder of the miraculous day behind me. Good night. 😌

A short but effective meditation that reminded me that there is so much to be grateful for in this privilege we call life. With a lot of negativity around me this morning, it is so easy for me to get caught up in their thoughts and lose track of myself as my anxiety takes over but today, I’ve decided not to let that happen. Today, regardless of the negativity, I’m not going to let it bring me down. I’m going to focus on the things I’m grateful for and perhaps I can try and be grateful for their negativity as it pushes me to become stronger and more resilient.

I guess the allergies are still kicking my butt this morning. Anytime I take a deep breath, I start another coughing episode— like coughing my lungs up, coughing.

I learned that it is important for us to periodically stop throughout our day and just take time to pause through our busy day and sit in silence and thank ourselves, our bodies and all that we are and all that we have an be thankful and just sit and reflect, relax and truly be mindful in the moment. I don’t don’t do this enough. We are so busy, going and doing things that we forget to thank our bodies and ourselves and just sit in gratitude. We are constantly go, go, go and we forget to give ourselves and our bodies a break. This meditation really helped me, breathing in thank and releasing you was so helpful to stay focused and it really relaxed me and help start my day off right! I will be doing this more often throughout my day! 🧘🏼♀️

I needed that. I don’t know if I could have been any more in need of something so simple and humbling. But thank you to the sweet instructor whom I enjoy all of the meditations done by her she has a very strong and quite sincere tone about her voice. It reminds me of the actress Natalie Portman. Whom I also admire. Anyways I always feel uplifted after taking time to listen to this app but especially this girl. Somehow the questioning that comes from analyzing our own thoughts and feelings, often delightfully Surpasses these all to easily obtained thoughts of self pity and discouragement(that I believe everyone has trouble avoiding at times)
Something about this girls voice Settles in my head I feel connected through her honest nd real talks about things I find myself pondering over randomly anyways.

I’m working on strengthening my gratitude practice, and this meditation was wonderful. Sometimes it can be hard to find specific things that I’m grateful for, and can make gratitude meditations feel fake or inauthentic to me. This meditation, with a simple, general thank you that spans a multitude of things, is wonderful for those times. It helps to strengthen the gratitude muscle while not forcing it, allowing for a more general sense of being grateful.

I loved this session. Gratitude brings contentment because it is focusing on what we have, the good in our lives. Traditionally, we taught to focus on want, but want is focusing on what we lack.

I have a few long-term goals that mean the world to me. Taking tiny steps toward them each day is one if the most meaningful things in my life.
But day to day, moment to moment, I’ve found that it’s far more fulfilling to focus on gratitude and giving than wanting.
Gratitude is focusing on what you have. Giving is focused on what you have to offer. In a way, it’s like you’re so bursting with wholeness, you have some to spare.
I think that’s why it’s often surprisingly more fulfilling to give than to receive.

Practicing gratitude everyday gives us a feeling of abundance. It helps refocus our brain on what we have instead of what we are lacking. In this short very effective meditation session, Lauren has you say silently on your inhale “thank” and on your exhale “you”. With each new breath along with silently saying thank you, I could feel my body starting to wake up along with a smile on my face. I am grateful for waking up feeling rested, having a few quiet moments to myself to enjoy my coffee before my day gets started, a healthy body, and for this new day. I have tears streaming down my face in gratitude. As I was doing this meditation and breathing in thing and breathing out you I had a cardinal chirping on one side and a dove cooing on the other. I look at the world in terms of BC or before corona, DC or during corona and eventually, AC - after corona. We are definitely in D C. I am grateful that Americans are finally understanding that wearing a mask is not political it is humane. After all we are humans being human. I don't want to get sick, and I certainly don't want to be responsible for another person's infection.
I am grateful that I have had a lot of experience being isolated from the rest of the world. I have access to the Internet. I have cable TV. I have a job I can do from home that I absolutely love. I was able to extend a helping hand to a friend who about to be homeless in Lost Wages. I couldn't let that happen to someone I love, especially since I have a second bedroom that I don't use. It is wonderful to have a roommate. After living alone for 30 years I did not think I could ever live with someone again. I had tried and it had never work out. I found that people took advantage of my generosity and left me with nothing. (Seriously, thousands of lost dollars, but no matter, “it is what it is “. But now I have a roommate who I've known for over 30 years from back in the day as performing artists in San Francisco. We experienced the entire punk scene, the advent of the plague, and the horrors of dividend capitalism take over America. I know San Francisco will never be the same. We were the last of the bohos, and god am I grateful I was a part of the magic.

Sitting upright, I brought awareness to my breath. As I brought my attention here, my inhale and exhale naturally began to lengthen. I began to say ‘thank’ on my inhale and ‘you’ on my exhale. Present with this breath, I noticed my senses working optimally. Birds chirping in the background. Flashes of light behind my closed eyes. The slightly bitter taste of coffee in my mouth. The air on my skin and a felt sense of presence growing within my heart space. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
