Sensing Temperature
Getting in touch with our inner body and becoming aware of any sensations is a great way to free our mind from our endless thoughts. In this meditation, Cassandra has us sense our body temperature in various areas to explore any warmth and coolness we may be experiencing. Settling in my chair, I arrived at my breath and sensed the rising and falling of my belly and chest. Beginning to scan my body for any sensations of warmth, my awareness went to my feet nestled in my shoes. Beginning to scan my body for any sensations of coolness, my awareness went to my hands. Becoming aware of both of these areas simultaneously, warmth began to transfer to my hands and coolness began to transfer to my feet. It was if by becoming aware of these two areas simultaneously, equilibrium had been achieved with one another! What a fun experience! Thank you, Cassandra! Namaste 🙏🏻❤️☮️
Temperature Meditation
This is a form of meditation that I have never tried before. This focuses on the warmth and coolness felt on localized parts of our body. I noticed that I was able to shut off most of my thoughts effectively by focusing on my breath and these sensations.
