I love the short meditations but I wish this one was twice as long- I'd need the extra time to really relax my face!

As I let my jaw melt away, it simply made everything around my mouth less tense. I hadn't realized that my jaw was so tense before this.

Where my anxiety lies...
Even though this was a good exercise, my anxiety lies in my chest and extends to my gut/stomach. I don't really experience much tension in my face but I figured I'd give this a try. Not sure it really helped since I still feel anxiety in my body.

Relaxing the facial muscles...
I learned that this type of meditation is very usual for dealing with how stress manifests in my body. I sometime clench my teeth unconsciously so it was nice to give my body a break and to have a practice to go back to in the future.

Creating conditions
Hard to meditate when you are dealing with kiddies in the morning. Strange how as a mom 3 minutes to yourself on the morning seems impossible some days.

Forehead wrinkles
I carry most of my stress in my forehead and between my brows. I can sometimes feel them at end of the day soo tight! Think I might try this at end of work day, before I do commute home and begin the important part of day, evening with my kids. 😁

Difficult
It's hard to even begin to notice the difference between tense and soft facial muscles. They're just there and learning to see more than that is difficult.

Overall Calm
I learned that I carry more tension in my eyes than I realized. When I am in deep thought, I’m also visualizing what I’m thinking. I’m focusing all of that energy through my eyes and forehead. This meditation made me aware of this and helped me release that tension. 🙏🏼

Sometime I find it tough to unwind before bed. I immediately expect my body to switch into relaxation and sleep from an awake and active state . . . and I don’t think that’s fair. This meditation reminds me to start unwinding and unraveling from the days stressor, tasks, and needs.

I learnt that we are all always learning
Life is a school where if your not learning you are actually nothing more than a wasted seat inside the auditorium. And this class is hard to get in to. You basically need a permission slip from the source. And we will never pass freshman. Even at the death bed. So everyone good well hunting.

Relax your Face
I learned that we carry a lot of tension in our face and when you’re trying to sleep relax and recharge important to be aware of the tension in your face and release it I found that just thinking about it naturally sort of released it and then she had us relax our eyesockets, our tongue on our pallet. I think I like this one.

Sleep relax and recharge
I never realized how much tension I held in my face. I was unable to completely relax it and the focus seemed to make it harder in the end. It was a good realization, but I’m not sure what to do about it.

Ahhh I feel little better
I learned that I have lots of tension in my face when I stress. Not to mention I have horrible tooth pain and being 26 weeks pregnant with 3 other boys and helping my grandmother that's had a heart attack along with heart surgery comes with lots of emotional and physical drain. In addition, to me and my family are split up right now (oldest son in school and husband in Vegas while my second oldest and youngest are with me in California) been really tough on us all. Homesick maybe? I decided to just try it will I was in a stressful mood to see if there was a difference and there WAS! I'm so happy to relieve some of my stress. May have to listen to again before I lay down.

Belong
I’ve noticed that since I’ve been back, I don’t feel like I belong here anymore. I feel out of place and slightly broken. Almost like a box of crayons a child threw across the room. I’m broken and helpless and there’s no fixing it. I can’t truly trust anyone, not even the ones closest to me and it makes me nervous thinking about seeing certain people again. I’m scared for what’s to come in the future.

Not my face
I don't tend to show my tension and anxiety in my face, though I went ahead and did the relaxation exercises as prompted by Cassandra. Meanwhile, my right foot just bounced and fidgeted through the whole lesson. Been a SUPER BUSY morning around the house, and I still have one more trip out to move my daughter over to my in-law’s house where she’ll be house/dog sitting for the remainder of the week.

Stress Release
I do hold a lot of stress in my face. I clench my teeth and draw my eyebrows together. I was nice to go through each area of the face and to be reminded just to let it go! Why would frowning change anything?

Grinding
I am guilty of grinding my teeth. Often, I don’t realize I can my jaw clenched until I feels sore. I enjoyed doing this meditation first thing in the morning to help myself relax that tension. I also massaged my tense jaw muscles which helped even more!
