While sitting is the most common of postures people get in while meditating, there are three other postures we can explore too. These are standing, walking and lying down. In this meditation, we practice standing and explore what it feels like to do so.
Standing, I brought awareness to the breath and felt the belly rising and falling along with other parts of my body. Standing, I brought awareness to my feet and noticed the slight sway the body does to keep balanced. Standing, I brought awareness to the rest of my body and again, noticed the gentle swaying my body does. Standing, I noticed how nice it feels to stand and become grounded. Thank you! I am a tree, standing tall and steady, yet swaying with the changing winds at the same time.
