When our emotions are strong our bodies get tense and feel more solid. We can lock in the pain and suffer more by identifying with the pain within ourselves and feeling a little stuck or trapped. By meditating on the space inside and outside of our bodies, we may imagine that the body can be more transparent, allowing the mind to realize that nothing is too solid and maybe let the pain of suffering pass.
