Mindfulness Teacher and Mentor
In this meditation Carla-Jo helps you to soothe your body and mind so that you feel ready for sleep. Often our bodies respond to self care quicker than the mind so in this practice we place a hand on our heart area or our tummy and help to create feelings of connection and safety so that we can feel more settled ready for a deep restful sleep. To find out more about Carla-Jo and her work please see carlajo-mindfulness.com. Please note: If you are struggling with your mental health then please seek professional help. These meditations are not a substitute for that but can be used along side therapy to help you. Photo by Johny Georend on Unsplash

Tend & Befriend
I enjoyed tuning in and placing a hand on my chest and my forehead. Sometimes I have so much tension in my forehead while trying to fall asleep. I felt relaxed and comforted.

Connection
Sense of connection. I guess my mind wandered off to another sense of connection. A connection with my mom, a person I am missing right now. We used to do a lot of things together and sometimes I get sad when I do them without her. Like going to the mall. I zoned out during this meditation and was suddenly walking in Walmart grocery shopping with my mom.. it made me happy because it’s a happy memory as always with her but sad because I crave and miss that connection.. I am exited to see her soon. 💕
