Tuning In...
Behind the scenes, there is a frequency of stillness that is waiting to be tuned in to. In this meditation, we learn how to tune into this stillness.
Getting comfortable in an upright position on the side of my bed, I felt how this bed supported me. Paying attention to my body, I noticed that my muscles were slightly tensed. As I began to relax, the sounds I heard in my surroundings began to fade away. Paying attention to the space around me, I felt a nothingness begin to form. With my body relaxed, my mind calm, I began to tune into the frequency of stillness. All of the sudden, I found myself floating on top of a calm pool of water. As I spread my arms out, I felt the space between my body and the top layer of the water. Knowing that this space was supporting me, I sunk further into stillness. Experiencing thoughtlessness, the only movement I sensed was this body of mine breathing. Coming back to the room I was in, I felt the support of the bed below me. Sounds in my surroundings began to appear in my awareness again. Opening my eyes, I noticed how I felt. Allowing myself to tune into the frequency of stillness, I have changed how I feel.
