Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes
We learn that little ditty as tots to help us learn our body parts. What we typically don’t learn is the importance of self care for these body parts and how we tend to carry stress in the neck and shoulders. How different we might approach life if we learned early on that it’s okay to release the stress from our neck and shoulders. Perhaps we should re-write the childhood ditty to something like:
Neck, shoulders take a break, take a break
Neck, shoulders take a break, take a break
Eyes and ears and mouth and nose,
Neck, shoulders take a break!
