This guided meditation, aka Shavasana, the final "pose" in a yoga class, invites the listener to lay down and integrate the workout that was just completed by resting deeply. This doesn't have to be done at the end of exercise or movement, it can be a stand-alone meditation.

Sink into Gravity
Shavasana is a pose typically down after yoga or a workout of some kind, where we rest deeply while laying down to reset and recharge our body. However, this pose can be done as a stand-alone meditation as well. Going from doing mode to being mode, I laid down and closed my eyes. Beginning at my head and neck, I allowed gravity to take over and sunk into the pillow. I felt as my face began to be pulled by gravity, bringing along with it my forehead, temples, eyes, cheeks, tongue and jaws, allowing them to soften. As gravity continued to pull my entire torso inward, I felt my breath begin to deepen. At this point I decided to open my eyes and focus on an object instead of continuing to close them so I wouldn’t get so relaxed that I fell asleep. Continuing on downward to my pelvis and into my legs and the soles of my feet, gravity tugged, allowing for softening to occur. Becoming aware of my entire body sinking into gravity, tingling sensations began to arise all over. As I laid here, the bed seemed to disappear and I was now weightless as a feather. When I finally sat up, I felt completely rejuvenated. Thank you, Cassandra! This was an incredible experience! Namaste 🙏🏻❤️☮️
