Settling the Mind
I felt challenged by pain today as I tried to settle. Despite my efforts to feel the physical points of support and quiet my mind, the pain was doing its best to get my attention. I am hoping for a better day tomorrow.🙏🏻

I was anxious about going to SF to see my son
I have a sense of calm now I don’t see things glass have empty, u see them glass half full. So if I only earn $500 today instead of my goal of $709, I won’t get upset. Every penny I earn can be applied to any one of my many bills, it’s ok if I didn’t earn my preferred $700. So if my son is not there when I showed up, I won’t be angry, I’ll be satisfied knowing I tried, and keep trying, to help him.

Turkey Day solute
It felt all so good to listen to today’s lesson after a very stressful day yesterday it being thanksgiving. I have a phobia about my anxiety during stressful situations and was really proud of myself for handling it. This mornings meditation is helping me unwind!

I felt that during the day I am always stressed and always have something that I have to do quickly. I get stressed and don’t realize it until I come home. When I got this app it really helped me and made me focus on things. And when I used to go somewhere and I got stressed I took a deep breath and relaxed.

I learned to find tools to help me cope. When my mind starts racing I find where the blame is. I need to find what triggers me and how to overcome that

Over the years I’ve learned a thing or two about the mind; whenever we have too much going in lives and in our own minds it makes things harder to deal with and when don’t talk about the things going on in your own mind it causes us to become stress out and unhappy. I also learned that talking about said things will help you in so many ways

I was far too unfocused for this to really benefit me. Maybe if the trigger word was easier to pronounce it would have been more effective, but it feels awkward to say.

This practice was very helpful. Afterward I felt calm and settled. It’s true we can’t just stop our thoughts, but by focusing on my breath and settling my body I was able to calm down and come back to the present moment. A great mid morning meditation on a Sunday. Thank you!

I woke up feeling very anxious along with my mind racing with thoughts. Listening to Jiva’s soothing voice guiding me to refocus my attention on the points of contact my body is making on the soft cushion I am sitting on while silently saying the word “settle “ helped to calm my mind and body.
