For 2 years following an epic hiking trip through philmont in cimaron new Mexico I would close my eyes and be transported back. Slowly this peaceful escape has faded away. Today, through this practice, it has returned. I know that in time and with repetition my mountain sanctuary will come back. Thank you for this gift.

Lying on my back in a forest, listening to the sounds of the forest and taking in the sent was a calming & relaxing way to end the day. I still had trouble sleeping though but eventually did. My mind was in a thinking mode & I just went with it instead of listening to more meditations. I thought I could sleep longer this morning but was startled awake by a tenant belting out something in a foreign language. Rude & unnecessary! Oh well that’s apt. life 🙀

I came back to this session because I knew it was very calming and relaxing. I needed this before I head out to work. I don’t really feel like going to work today and I think once I get there it’ll be all right. I’m just feeling crummy and dealing with some pain and I think once I get there the work will take my mind off of it. Thanks Aura🙏

I love guided imagery, so this was super relaxing to me. I could feel my shoulders lowering back down towards the end of the meditation, as well as longer breaths and my whole body unclenching. I think I preferred that there was not any forest noises in the background, because all of the senses were coming from within my mind. It kept me present, grounded, and it was able to be MY version of a serene forest. I felt completely immersed and at peace.

I rarely go to a forest unless I’m traveling, and even then, not too much. However, pictures of forests or stands of trees always intrigue me. “What’s really in there”? This meditation takes me into the forest and shows me, in my minds eye, exactly what’s there. I can feel the breeze, hear the birds, hear the stream, feel the pine needles soft layer. It’s difficult to describe the “smell of green “. For me, it’s fresh, sharp, pleasant and cool. I close my eyes it’s there for me. How wonderful. 🙏🌷

She had me lying on the pine needle floor of the forest breathing in the evergreen smell while feeling each needle beneath me. Everything gets totally still until I start to “feel” the trees growing around me. Then I start to grow with them and I end up on their tops - like riding a mosh pit of pine trees. I try to get up but I’m stuck to their sappy tips and they start to stretch me across the whole forest until I am paper thin. Feeling their green energy and their positive growth vibe resonating thru me I am cleaned, refreshed & reinvigorated. I wake up to the smell of evergreens, on the pine needle floor and my pockets are full of pinecones! Whoa...?!? ❤️🌲👍🏼

When she talks about lying on the florist floor and pine needles, I imagined it damp and the pine needles were poking me some. Every time she mentioned the forest floor it threw me out of the breathing & relaxing because I was mentally "uncomfortable" again. Pretty funny! This is why there's all different meditations!

Having spent oodles of time in forests in my youth, playing, enjoying nature and camping on family vacations, it was easy for me to visualize stretching out on a forest floor covered in pine needles with my head resting on a moss-covered rock, listening to the peaceful music of a softy babbling brook accentuated by birdsong, while the pine branches above gently swayed in perfect time to the music of the brook. The dappled sunlight warmed my relaxed body, leaving me smiling at the deep sense of serenity. Thank you for this recommendation, Cyndee! 🙏♥️🙏

It was beautiful I saw , I felt , I could smell everything . I cried. the beauty by which I be held inside my head is amazing .what I could feel by thoughts is powerful . Glad I did this one again! Hectic week, negative people and having my house painted had me a feeling a little off the beam. But then this meditation came up so I did it and it worked. I got comfy, shut my eyes & I was instantly transported to Canada at our old cottage where I spent two weeks every summer growing up. I was laying on the softest pine needle bed under the gently swaying towering pines... the delectable aroma of musty pine & warmed dirt activated my memory banks as they poured out details of the blue sky, bright sun & cool breeze... ahh... I laid there until I got rid of all the weight of my earthly problems & knowledge & would start to float! Thanks Aura for reminding me of the truth I learned as a child - there really are no problems (outside of the Math class) and ... All is right in the world! ❤️☮️🍀

Being alone most of the day leaves me only with my thoughts. I’m the only opinion .the only judge. Im not aware if what I have to think is self -constructive or self-demolishing . Usually I would think meditation is for weenies , but now I’m a different person in a way !A different perspective has been opened after this session, whatever decision I make about myself, is one that will lead to total happiness. That was enjoyable!
I've listened to this relaxing meditation before. This go round I allowed myself to envision the little path between my house and the back door of the dining hall at the camp I lived and worked at in Lake Arrowhead, CA more than 20 years ago! What a wonderful, spiritual time in my life! Of course, had I stayed on I never would have met my wife and fathered our three kids in the last twenty years! That takes precedence I think!

This meditation is amazing!! In the forests of Alaska , I became speechless. Water, so cold, pure and clear, bathed your body. Suddenly, I proclaimed: “This is not just a forest: It is a cathedral. Nature’s Cathedral to God, with a choir of birds, waving trees, flora and fauna.” It was Heaven on earth!!! ❤️🙏🙏🙏

I really enjoyed this meditation, I more pictured a meadow off of a forest I’d seen in a movie and I could picture myself there. I did already feel good though when I started so it just made me feel more serene despite someone interrupting me in the middle of it. I just paused and was able to go right back into it.

Very nice meditation. Good intention. Although, for one who has traveled on oceans and forests, Nature quickly teaches you that she is the boss. BE ALERT! Sights, sounds, smells and what you hear. For example, when you hear birds singing - and suddenly they stop, intense quiet = there can be a predator nearby. You learn to “read” the forest. Even still, a nice meditation. ❤️🙏☮️

There is nothing more peaceful and relaxing than sitting outside, breathing fresh air in nature. I always find myself at peace with my mind, body, and spirit whenever I walk on the nature path near my house and breathe in the fresh air I find myself feeling better when I’m having a bad day. Lying in bed I closed my eyes breathed in slow and deep and was transported to the a White Mountains in New Hampshire. Having visited there a couple times, I just love the clean, pine smell, sparkling rivers and blue skies. I lay there enthralled with the beauty & majesty of the Mountains in the distance and the quietness of the earth around me. I breathe in deep as the musty woodsy smell fills my whole body and I turn into a big smiling emoji!! ❤️😃🍀

It is amazing how much imagining yourself in a different place from where you are and attempting to experience it with all five of your senses, can I have a relaxing effects on your body and mind. For some reason I found myself able to be more than what engaged in the Forest meditation then any visualization meditation I have done on this app prior. I found myself not only visualizing The forest but able to smell the Pineneedles and what the earth here at the stream and singing birds and in general to appreciate the forest as a multi sensory experience I credit the aura app for him for being my ability to meditate thank you so much for doing this. I am also grateful that aren’t as providing me with this coming forest meditation. Have a great day everyone I hope you find your peace.

It is difficult for me to relax, to “let go.” I find myself coming back to places in my mind that are the happiest times of my life, & they stand in stark contrast to the life I now live. Calmness, stillness, seems to trigger my grief, & it overwhelms me. I avoid going there because I don’t know what to do with the contrast between a time of fullness in my life and this time of shallowness. I seem to keep myself in a chronic state of tension, like I’m purposefully - yet unconsciously - avoiding how I begin to feel when my body begins to relax. This is a barrier I face to meditation & mindfulness.
