S.N.A.C.K. Break
While walking to my meditation spot in the backyard, I decided it was a good time for a snack. So, I chose to stop. As I stopped, I placed a hand on my heart and the other hand on my belly. Feeling this soothing touch, I noticed the breath nourishing my body with each inhale. I noticed the pressure from the weight of my body on the bench. I noticed physical sensations flowing throughout my body. I noticed emotions flowing and thoughts swirling around in my mind. As I noticed, I turned towards acceptance by saying to myself, this is how it is right now. Then I brought in a phrase that reminded me of our common humanity. Every one of us are spiritual beings having this human experience. Therefore, we all have emotions, thoughts and physical sensations. As I said that, I turned towards kindness by saying the phrase, may I be kind to myself.
