The "Now" is often seen as a stepping stone to a "promised fulfilling future". The Now is not valued, nurtured, or even acknowledged. You have considered time as your friend and time always promises and never fulfils. Make the "Now" your friend and allow life to unfold from the fullness, completeness, and grace of the Now. Repeating this meditation is helpful as being anchored in the now, though natural and peaceful, has been veiled by the habit of the ego to live in the past and future.
