As humans, our default mental mode often looks like worry or stress, or at the very least, running through our to-do list. In meditation, we can shift that default mode by asking our minds to dwell on happier memories and experiences. The more you do this practice, the more you will change the neural pathways in your brain, and the more happiness you will welcome into your day.
This is the first session that has not had a positive impact on me. I am not a " happy" person as I am sure many people are not. Concentrating on a " happy " moment is nearly impossible for me.One day I hope for this to change .
I enjoyed this one helps to remember good times during the madness of everyday life.
Finding happiness in peace
I learned it is possible to find happiness in peace. In the still, quietness at the core of my being I found what we seek is never outside of us. In this short meditation being asked to recall a happy time in my life I felt more ME; that sense of peace. And I found that I began to feel content. And from the peace and contentment, I found the stirring of a deep and natural happiness.
I learned that..
each moment of joy is a gift we should cherish and reflect on
Coming home at the end of the day to an excited two year old running into your arms melts all my stress & worries away. There is something peaceful & calming to spend the remaining hours with my little ladybug. I miss these moments so much. Midway through the meditation I started crying tears of sorrow. I only get this happy memory once a week now. I miss that reunion more than words can say. It is the best feeling in the world to know that you are loved, important, missed and valued.
i learned that we can release anxiety and stress through savoring happy moments and letting those moments consume our body and fill it with happiness:)
Happiness is a choice
Connecting with recent happy experiences can help to cultivate happiness now.
My last moment of happiness
Was made of challenge, movement, focus in the moment and in my body, true friendship, connection, immense gratitude. Facing my worst fear with the help of the most generous friend.
Match ability with type and sword on rust spring spot spirals spit
it’s only castles burning
Remember the last time you were happy.
Be here now.
Do good work.
Detach from the result.
stop taking yourself so seriously
the wave is only pulling back the water now
it will return
and wash over you in cascading euphoria
“Don’t let it bring you down
It’s only castles burning
find someone who’s turning
And you will come around”
Making a new Memory🌻
My memory went back to my childhood and some other moments in the distant past. I realize that I need to make some current happy moments so today I will go for a nature walk. I’m missing out on so much because I’ve been under the weather. So off I go to create a new moment in time that I can reflect back to as a good memory.🌈
It was great to remember all the incredible moments I have had and to visualize all the mysterious and amazing experiences are awaiting in my future.
Learning and love
I focused on two memories-
1. Yesterdays passion for my research, feeling connected to and affirmed by the work of other researchers, excited with possibility and learning, understanding what might be ahead, and assured that I can rise to the challenge.
2. A sweet, very beautiful simple moment with C & D. When he climbed up in bed between us and we joked that we were all an ice cream sandwich my heart soared. I felt confident and calm in my ability to be a partner to someone who is a parent. And to provide love to a child. That any worry about not knowing what to do evaporates and natural instincts of love and joy kicked in. Im so grateful for that happy memory and hope to create many more.
Happiness is seeing your grown children react with one another. I am remembering a time when two of my boys were talking together just about nothing and how it was a joy to see them laugh with each other. These are good memories, and I am so thankful to have those memories to reflect on.
Smiles & morning light
I savored the memory of my children’s round cheeks and the beautiful bright morning sunlight streaming in the windows this morning. The practice helped me to remember the little moment of pure joy and to remind myself to play these moments over when I’m feeling down.
I savored the memories of that amazing day spent with my friend Sylvie!!!
I learned that bi visualizing those precious moments you can relive them as if you were there right now!!!
I love this channel- but it seems to always just hurt to listen to it.
I was surprised to realize my brightest moment of happiness yesterday was at work, when I finally finished something I’d been really focused on for weeks- I guess I do really like my job! Namaste
Taking time to remember a happy time of your life makes you smile and smiling is the best feeling ever ~ so sit down and close your eyes and just remember, remember a time that made you smile and I promise it will light up your day <3 :)))))))
An arousal immensely enticing that will direct one’s attention toward it can truly display the ideation of “love”
Just by recalling a happy 😃 event in your life can uplift your mood and make you feel good😁 We should remember🤔 to do this every time we feel down☹️ anxious 😟 or sad 😔
I learned that I had many happy moments to pick from and that I have the ability to create more happy moments every day
Changing the course of mighty rivers...
I like the idea of retooling my neural pathways to default to a mindset that is most nourishing for me, giving me a better starting place for my thoughts, feelings, and actions. Another good intention for the day. Namaste
I am already blessed right where I am at....I can still soften myself in spite of the blows I have absorbed.
I learned that it is important to be aware and reflect on happiness. To possess it is to know it, to know it is to have happiness!!
Secret of Health for Mind and Body ✨
When you are here and now, sitting totally, not jumping ahead, the miracle has happened. To be in the moment is the miracle. The only time you ever have in which to learn anything or see anything or feel anything, or express any feeling or emotion, or respond to an event, or grow, or heal, is this moment, because this is the only moment any of us ever gets. You’re only here now; you’re only alive in this moment.
Recalling this moment that made me happy then made me appreciate it that day even more and made me happy again and also kind of bummed out that I can’t go back. But grateful that I was able to be in that moment.
Great positive start to my day. Remembering and savoring a happy moment!
I couldn’t stop smiling. I felt warm in my heart. I thought about the time a couple weeks ago when me & buddy recorded our song & at one point we couldn’t stop laughing. Oh the joys of heart memories.
Peace & love
Finding happiness within myself is my 🔑 to unlocking all the potential this chick has to offer!
I need to not appease everyone else first and start looking after what's good for Allison. I learned I need to stand up for myself and set boundaries.
This short meditation made me travel to a place I love. It helped me revisit an amazing time with my children and husband. What an energizing feeling. And many more potential happy memories to come! Thank you for this gift.
I noticed a relaxing, calming feeling reminiscing over recent happy moment.
I learned it’s nice & tranquil to remind oneself of the good times and to try to hold the warmth & comfort of the feels.
I felt a calming aura wash over me as a meditation and an undesirable warmth as I remembered my time spent with my so and as I opened my eyes my mind felt at peace and I learned not to dwell in the little but enjoy them and find peace with my self and to let my body relax
this made me go back to memory that I love so much and realized that keep the ones make you the most happiest person in the world cause life is too short to be sad, depressed or stressed
I was transported back to the beach at an after-the-wedding party for my youngest son. The ocean was roaring at the wind so we dug a pit at the end of a partially buried log and got the fire started. I had been collecting wood for a couple days so I thought we were set. Couple hours went by & it was well after midnight when the wind really picked up and we burned thru our stash to try and stay warm. So I went on a scavenger hunt and came back with a huge log that ended up lasting us til about 4 a.m. when We finally called it quits. It was right about them that the rain came and washed all the evidence of us even being there away! It was a very happy time with family!!
Happiness is why I’m here
I was transported back to Lisbon airport in January when I met this person after a long time. And I felt so happy to just be in the same room with this person. What an amazing feeling that was. 😊
Unfortunately, you’ve managed to stain most of the happy moments I’ve felt. Going through this meditation, every memory I go back to, you’ve managed to tear apart piece by piece.
I want to go back to a different version of myself. The one who truly believed in finding happiness in their surroundings, not relying on finding joy in people. The one who understood people come and go but the sun, the waves, the clouds, the wildflowers... their beauty will always shine for you.
I guess if I want to go back to a moment where I truly savored happiness, it would be a more shielded version of myself. Where I truly felt the joy of watching the sky transition from orange yellows to purple blues. The one who understood that people are fragile, ever-changing.
What did I expect giving my all to someone who could be so fragile?
I have recently experienced two major life changes. I recently moved to be closer to family and recently resigned from my teaching job. Before choosing the house I moved to, I almost settled for a house that I intuitively knew I wouldn’t be happy in. I have been SO happy in this house and area. Even though I am still settling in, I spend my days filled with gratitude. I am also filled with immense gratitude that I chose to resign from a position in which I wasn’t appreciated, even though I know not what I shall do next. Each day I savor the joy of my choices.
I learned that you don’t always have to focus on the bad parts in life but you should learn from them. But build on the happy parts of it and make the future a happier place. :))
Sharing others happiness makes me happy. It overflows to me. Namaste
Are days for celebrating a new you and another year. Friends and family honor your gifts to the world. I went to my happy space when I recalled memories about my daughter’s birthday this year. We laughed. We played. We sang and danced. For a moment happiness and joy surrounded my heart.
whatever feeling you might be having, calm yourself, clear your mind, remember a time that brought PURE happiness and savor the happiness it brought.
Revel in all the small moments of happiness as well as the big ones. Namaste.
Baby’s bring happiness
Yesterday grandma, grandpa, and uncle Alex (me) got to take care of my brothers 3 month old baby boy, the memory brings happiness to me and I am looking forward to my relationship with the little one.
Learning to savor happiness
For a long time I thought that I didn’t deserve to reflect on any moment of happiness in my life. But, for some reason, after this session, that spell on my life has been broken. I can’t wait to learn how to savor and reflect on my happy moments again, and I won’t ever let it go.
Being happy in Disneyland
I remember being really happy in Disneyland I was so excited to see Winnie the Pooh & talking to him & hugging him I will always remember that
Take a Step Back and Enjoy
Wow. Listening to this has made me energized for the day. Thinking of all the happiest moments I’ve been in my life makes helps me control my stress induced life.
Nov 1 2018
It is okay to feel anger or disappointment in others. How I manage my frustration is what's important.
I felt calm and at peace. Remembering happy moments gave me a sense of peacefulness.
I learned that I can always go back to happy memories and new and happy moments await
I remembered a good time in my life. Realizing that I need more of them
I have the best times in my life when I don’t care what people are think about about me. When I just let go and enjoy the moment.
It’s has been a while since I have felt truly happy. Since I had a real laugh. When listening to this that help me realized its been a while and I need to let lose a lot. I learned that every once in a while we need to look back at the moments that make us truly happy. 😊
What we think about is how we feel. I will remember to return to happy memories when i am feeling tired and overwhelmed. It will change may outlook and my day.
So nice to rethink and dwell on a past happiness. Just think if we all focused on that rather than past transgressions. I’ll do my best to try to shift my mindset. Namaste
I noticed that
It was difficult to think of a time when I felt very happy because even when I’m having a good time, there is always some stress or something that upsets me in the back of my mind.
Although I know I have had happy times and moments recently I found it hard to picture one quickly enough and in any detail so I ended up trying to imagine feeling happy instead of the specific event. However I can see how that could really put a positive spin on a day or moment I think I just need to be more prepared. Also because there is lots going on to cause worry and stress at the moment it is hard not to have that interfering with the otherwise happy event or moment and marring.it a bit. Will try this one again another time
The price of companionship
I have noticed how important some people are in my life and that’s an idea I’ve sort of been putting off bc I’m so used to taking care of myself so now that I have built and healed all of these relationships, I think it’s definitely time I trust these people and not just let them into my life but also into my heart.
Happiness is him
The crinkles in the corners of his eyes when he laughs at my silliness... To not feel judged or belittled by him... To feel my love returned...
Morning Meditation 1-29-19
What a great way to start my morning! It eases my mind, so I can start a rewarding day
Stop, be mindful of each happy moment. Who knows when the next will occur.
This felt so warm and happy? Like the waves of comfort just flowed over me.
I felt so light and airy filled with happiness that I don’t want to let go 💕
Had a hard time concentrating as my mind is already going on all cylinders this morning. But recalled when my family and my boyfriend and I all went to the beach for a short while. It was freezing cold, but I was content
Taking charge of my life...
...feels great. It feels warm, Light, and gives me energy. It wasn’t about the memory itself, but more about WHY the memory was happy. It was a small memory, but a big-picture moment.
I imagined myself back at Disneyland and wow I miss it so much. Nothing could have ruined my time there
I learned how to control my feelings and maintain happiness. I feel happy now.
I focused on a happy time at the mall with my mom, and it worked so well, I almost forgot that I was still at home.
The memories of Happiness in my heart are powerful. And they replayed in my mind have returned me the a perfect place.
this made me feel worse I wish I could just stop this feeling
this is dukkah, savoring happiness is the same as avoiding pian
By focusing on happy memories, our heart space becomes full of warmth and light. Use that warmth and light to be the source of happiness to others. Savor happiness today! Have a happy day! 😃
I learned that when you create a bad habit it's better to get rid of it right away istead of letting that habit grow
Hold happiness in your heart and return to it frequently. Play those memories like movies in your mind.
Hold happiness in your heart and return to that feeling. Remember how you felt about yourself when you were truly happy. Now take that with you
This was a good exercise for concentrating on our happiness and excitement.
I learned that it is okay to let go of worry and you can feel happiness in every day of your life.
I learned how to be awake most days.......
I learned how to be awake most days.......
I learned how to be awake most days.......
I love this meditation. I enjoyed reaching back into my mind and bringing up a happy, positive memory.
I felt a rush of emotions. The deeper I meditated, the more I found pure joy.
I realized my pure joy was a simple event. Nothing extravagant, but it was in a time where I was sad and in that very moment my family went lengths to be there for me in my love language of adventure and serenity.
My heart space grew warmer and larger as I imagined the going away party/gathering we just had with oldest sister, my youngest son & his wife, my parents & a few of their friends. I felt happy and joy during our time together and was able to relive this during this meditation.
This will be helpful to remember after my parents move south to my other sisters next month. Over 6 hours away will make visiting them more difficult but I know they will have a better daily quality of life there.
I will need to remember this meditation & revisit often when missing them. Thanks Aura!
I learned that I can not control everything around me. I've got to sometimes go with the flow, even if it hurts me.
Sometimes it is easier to focus on the negatives in life. This meditation reminded me to be grateful for the blessings🙏🏻
I noticed that my moment was a simple walk with my daughter. We didn’t even talk about anything special. Just were together for that time taking a break from everything.
Bits of happiness
It's nice to remember happy moments and it helps to calm a worried mind
Hotel for dogs
It’s good and helpful too clean the hotel and they so have room for them and the eating there food.

Focus energy on the positive. Not all day will be the best days, but all days can be better days when you focus on the positives around you.
I’ve learned that’s it’s so simple to remember a good memory that can help you change your mood.
Remembering happiness and feeling gratitude for those moments is so important and so often overlooked. When we tell others about our pasts the mind mostly goes to our flaws and our traumas but it doesn’t have to be that way. We can remember and be greatly impacted by happiness. And we are.
There are many things out there that I enjoy and make me happy; being with my family and friends and taking care of myself mentally and physically these things are so important to me
What I’m happy for
Everything around me is beautiful if I make it, i live in a small town where the air is gross and the scenery isn’t there but I’ve started to find ways to appreciate my surroundings while I’m still here
When we recall a happy memory, it initiates a relaxation response throughout our body. Sitting into a comfortable position with one hand over my heart I breathe into my hearts space. Recalling one moment of happiness from the weekend, sitting around a campfire with my husband comes to mind. Feeling a little chill in the air, listening to the frogs around the pond, watching and listening to the fire crackle, while enjoying dessert from the only restaurant in the area brings a warm smile to my face and warms my heart. The peaceful feeling I felt there has returned to my being. I take a deep breath in savoring this memory for one more moment before slowly exhaling to return back to my day. I am left with feelings of joy and contentment which is such a nice way to begin the day.
Happiness is when you’re with family you love and enjoying the special memories you make with them
I was so so happy this summer with Freddy- I think back on the joy of bike rides together. Laying by the beach. Dancing. This summer had so much joy. It was so wonderful to fall in love.
Much needed reminder to use visualization to recenter emotionally. Centering on happy times and events is calming - like a reset button.
Watching myself and envisioning myself being happy, reliving a happy moment brought me so much spirit. This was really effective for me. I want to envision myself happy more often.
I have not been purely happy very often lately. Often, when I was happiest the wind blew very hard
It’s easy for moments of happiness to get lost in hectic days. By dwelling on it and engaging with the memory using all senses integrates it with the body. It creates a longer lasting impact.
I learned that I can’t remember a recent deep laugh that I’ve had, or where I let go of judgement.
From childhood? Painting is least judgement space to me, but it’s joy, not laughter.
Changing unhelpful thought patterns
I learned that meditation forges new neural pathways in your brain
