Less=More
This weekend my wife and I enjoyed hours of watching “Living Big in Tiny Houses” and “The Minimalists” on Youtube and Netflix. We noticed when one lives with less there is a capability for more.
Funny, right? Less=more? I am a spender, and I like things, but watching short documentaries on minimalism remind me that no matter how many things I have, they will not bring true happiness. It’s those tiny cozy spaces and small things that mean the most. They ate the things that bring us true joy that matter.
I also just read a story of scripture, in which two armies are fighting. One is fighting “like dragons” for their lives, and the other is fighting for their homes, their liberties, their wives, their children, and their rites to worship. Those that were more concerned about fighting for happiness and joy and for their loved ones, instead of the army that only fought for their lives like dragons, won the battle and drove them back. (The Book of Mormon; Alma 43)
I learned this weekend that we are to love people, and use things, because the opposite never works. We must also fight against negativity and opposition with a constant focus on those around because we love and care about them. We care about them so much that we are willing to do anything for them!
Have a great day and a blessed week! It’s in YOUR power to do so!🌲💪🌱🔜🌳
