Sad, lonely, in pain or worried? This practice helps us evoke positive feelings by imagining ourselves in a safe space.

Safe Space
I learned that my safe space is in a grassy field of wildflowers in Oregon. I can see a mountain-like or cliff area off in the distance. There is a small body of water near. The temperature is neither hot or cold, just a slight breeze around 70 degrees. I have comfy blankets to lay out and relax on. There is no one around me. There are clouds in the blue sky and birds are seen flying above. Butterflies are dancing around flower to colorful flower. I'm feeling safe and secluded.

Trust.
I have a hard time trusting and believing others because I have know betrayal too often. It's hard to not anticipate the things you constantly think of so it's almost like I'm waiting everyday for it to happen. I want so badly to be able to test the person I love but I can't wrap my head around his tactics. It saddens me the way we are right now, and I always go back to the anticipation hoping and praying that something changes. Though I'm not perfect, I know that I can trust me, and make it possible for others to. I wanna be set free of this constant feeling of being less than I deserve to feel. I want my heart to sing, not cry.

Self-compassion
The only one who’s here all the time, able and willing to give me the gift of compassion is me. I can give myself freedom, joy, love, and rest. Maybe I can even be freedom, joy, love, and rest. I’m trying to get to know what that means.

Anxiety space
When told to imagine a safe space, I unfortunately realized I don’t have one, or at least one I can think of right away. This then distracted me as I couldn’t decide on a safe space. But I never confronted that before, so this was eye opening.

First meditation
I am not controller of the universe. Letting go of what I can’t control is something I need to practice and embrace. It was so pleasant and peaceful in my safe place. Taking time for me is not selfish it is necessary. I work very hard all week and am always trying to learn and get better but sometimes even that good goal can bring it’s own stress. I am not always aware of the stress I put on myself because I have been negligent in being good to me. If I want to learn and grow I need to be aware of my needs too, not just everyone else’s. If I take the time for my needs I can provide better care for others. Wow all that in one session. Looking forward to the next one.

Visualization
I recently read about visualizing a safe space during meditation and inviting your inner child/younger self there to have a conversation and delve into past experiences. I️ find it fitting that this is the first meditation that came up since reading that. This is the first time I’ve visualized during meditation since maybe 7th grade when I was first introduced to it. Usually I just focus on my breath or body tension. I️ like this more.

Reunited again and again
Because I have been actively grieving the death of my sweet husband since September, I have needed more than ever to create a new safe place. This meditation helped to make it easier for me! Thanks to meditation I’ve learned there doesn’t have to be boundaries to true happiness....so I included the safest person I know into my safe place....or maybe I should say Our safe place! The result is always the same, I feel complete peace instantly and I get to Reunite with him over and over again!! He’s there every time with open arms, just waiting to help me feel better!!! This meditation has brought me tremendous JOY and PEACEFULNESS!!!

My safe space is a warm cozy king sized bed with a down feather white duvet on it. The bed is a massive alluring hug inviting me to sink into a deep sleep for as long as I want. I have a low fan on for beautiful background noise with binaural beats to ease me into sleep.

It’s so much easier than I thought it would be to mentally transfer myself to a place where I feel centered and safe. It’s a nice reminder that we don’t always have to be where we want to be to be there in our hearts and minds. I’m excited to take moments out of my day to go back there and continue to imprint my imagination with realty.

Impossible Spaces and You
When I tried to picture this space, I found my mind wafting between imaging in’s a real-world place I had been to, and a forest-y image like on the picture. I could feel myself phasing between both spaces at once, almost like my anxieties were trying to interrupt this practice. It ended when I realized that I *could* be in both places at once, and created a hybrid of both spaces to experience. I stopped worrying about “doing it right” and started living in the moment in this space that I created for myself.

My first session (happy place)
Going to my happy place really helps with relaxing and when I feel stressed I should go back to my happy place. My happy place is on a cliff filled with animals and green trees and grass and flowers looking out to a beautiful sunset over the ocean. I’m not alone in my happy place, Mama, Daddy, and Noah are all there and we’re all sitting together hugging and watching the sunset.

With every word I write, my longing to be home keeps strengthening :')
The only place that comes to my mind which it had to be both the safest and also righteously mine was my home.I suppose it will always be. My home. As I delve deeper into the thought, I can literally visualise the main door opening. On stepping in my mumma appears before me and welcomes me back by taking me into her warm embrace. The love that radiates from her makes me feel I'm home. Soon my younger sister comes running to me smiling brightly. The moment I see her I can't help but tease her as always. She rushes towards me to hit me and chases me as I try save myself. The room echoes with sounds of laughter and playfulness. Papa arrives home all tired from work. I know what he needs even if he doesn't ask. A hot cup of tea that too made by me. That feeling when I see his tiredness fade away slowly as he sips the tea makes me feel I'm home..That chair near the window where I lie all lousy and read, the kitchen where we all of us cook and eat together.Truly the safest place to be.Home 💕

Safe space
I was surprised that my safe place was in the forest as I typically enjoy the ocean. However, I think the solitude and warmth that I imagined drew me to this secret oasis. One thing that made me happy was I felt like I belonged there and that the forest loved me. I also didn’t feel obligated to think of anything but how nice it felt to be laying there. Hopefully this is a space I can go to in the future when I’m feeling sad and alone.

Safety is My Person
I have thought long and hard about my safe place. My Person has been my safe place - no matter where we are. That isn't necessarily a good thing. My safe place should not rely on anyone else. It makes me vulnerable which defies the purpose of safety.

Crystal cave
Around me I see a primeval forest, so many sounds permeate it’s pristine foliage. In front of me is a crystal clear lake. The shore is pebbled, sweet smelling flowers hang enticingly at the waters edge occasionally trailing its vines in its depth. Golden and ruby fruit hang heavy from massive branches, seemingly twisting their way skyward, dipping their limbs into the brightness of the sky. A large waterfall cascades into this lake creating rainbows in its wake. Within is my safe place, a crystal cave, always lit by gentle light and diffuse rainbows where it leads to the top of a cliff. I can jump into the clouds here and fly, feeling the moisture beading on me as I dip into their depths to be warmed by the sun as I emerge with a shout of joy.

Safe space-What I want
I imagined my ideal safe space and found that I m starting to discover what I want. Not what I think other people want or what I think they think I should want ( if that makes any sense) I’ve always been a people pleaser and have had a hard time determining what makes Me happy and what I truly want. Perhaps after just over a month of regular meditation I am starting to find out.

Self-inflicted pressure
When asked to picture a safe space, I found myself wanting to skip over the safest place that initially came to mind because it felt too easy, too simple. I tried to seek a more picturesque or elaborate safe place like a specific foreign beach or something more exotic. Why did I think my initial safe place - on the couch curled up with my husband and dog - wasn’t interesting enough? Why do we inflict this pressure on ourselves to make our life more impressive, even when we only have an audience of 1?

A new one everyday.
During this specific ‘safe space’ meditation I learnt that I was unable to think of only one safe space for myself.I guess, for me it’s going to be a different one everyday.Today, it was this valley surrounded by widely stretched mountains on all sides.Lush green grass with a few trees afar.I could hear the birds, insects, swaying of the leaves and the blended sound of ocean waves and the wind.Cool breeze lashing on my bare face, I could see a trodden path before me calling me to explore it and see if for myself. Amidst nature, I was once again at home! 🌻

Safe within Self
I have a lot of spaces where I feel safe, but it also isn't always consistent. I feel safe when I'm at my house, but I have felt unsafe alone there at times. I feel safe in nature but there have been many times when my worries remove that. Even at home, I have felt times of discomfort and insecurity leading to a lack of safety. In this self awareness space Im in i wonder if i can cultivate safe space within myself. It seems to me to be the ultimate of safe spaces- so that no matter where i go i can feel connected to safety.

Safe at home
Home is my natural ”safe space”. Home with my things, but most especially with my wife and kids. They sing to me
I am high in the sky, my wings wrapped around my body as if to shelter me from the cold. I plummet downwards, wind slaps at me but I hold no fear. As I drop, I also spread my wings and I soar, I fly, the stars sing for me, the moon whispers her secrets and baths me in her luminosity. I glide in light and love and the earth spreads out beneath me. I hold such affection for it, my heart wants to burst but that inky darkness around me holds my love, I reach for the stars.

Swimming...
I was transported back to a place in Canada where we used to go as a family growing up. It had this very cool rocky beach where we’d swim, suntan & fish and have the best time making family & friend memories! Ironically, it probably was not the safest place for weak swimmers but I was our High School swim team Captain twice so I loved it! Mmmmm... slightly beach smell with cedars & evergreen sprinkled in. Bluest sky you ever saw with little puffy white cotton clouds and the brightest sun you could ask for with no humidity... ahhhhh... just found my “Happy Place”!! ❤️✌🏼

DorDor
My safe spaces are quite similar. They are all on cac
vacation to various rentals around the New Hampshire. Near lakes and easy shopping. My little bird comes with us. Last year he found his favorite perch on a chair, looking out at the lake. Sometimes his eyes would close. Always afraid I can’t find a safe place but I guess I do. Ideally my safe place would be my home. Hasn’t happened yet. I’d like to believe in the yet part.

Relaxing...
This was a great 7 min meditation!! I found I actually have several safe spaces but most of them involve the beach by the ocean... with the sun shining - giving everything a warm dreamy, glittery glow. The salty air breeze gently blowing enough that the seagulls float effortlessly & endlessly on it as they face the sea secretly looking for lunch but appearing non interested in anything. The musical melody of the waves draws me to them like a huge magnet. As I sit where the water laps at the sand, feeling wave after wave, each different yet the same, I realize I am home... Safely back to where I belong... where I came from and where I long to return... in due time! But for now, this fleeting lifetime of moments sewn together into days, I can return in my mind to this place, this safe space and regenerate my soul in the waves of my imagination... Thank you Aura! ❤️☮️🍀

Safe Space
As I was listening to this meditation, I realized that I wanted my safe space to be wherever the lovely path in the accompanying picture led, as I have often felt safe and at peace in nature. However, it occurred to me that my home is my safe space, too. But my oldest and most reliable safe space is within, the only place I could retreat as a child of abuse. Thank you for this meditation, you have given me new insight as I had never taken the time to consider this. 🙏

I find it to be unpleasant and inappropriate to cut the 7 minutes (or more) meditations in order to kind of make them turn into 3 minutes ones. I love this meditation in particular. I believe that is simply because her voice is so joyful, so calm and pure. JAI Thai kickboxing gym. A medium sized room with not very high ceilings, a small reception desk, a space covered in mats to work out, adjacent to another (slightly bigger space) to workout. Punching bags lining the divide between the two spaces, a small-medium boxing ring in the far left corner of the room, a space next to the bigger workout area where you can stretch; shelves lined with boxing gloves and Thai pads, a women’s changing room next to that. Black mats, white walls and a large window overlooking the city that lets in a nice breeze. Two walls covered in mirrors, the smell of sweat circulating the air and big buff people walking around, some of them familiar, greeting you. My safe place.

Think about a place in which you feel safe, comfortable -at ease. Hold that image in your mind; can you smell it? Can you taste it? Does it bring you joy? Hold that image; feel yourself smiling and just understand that there’s no place like home, because home is where and what you are to your soul. Feed your soul with optimism. It might be hard most of the times, but it’s always good to keep trying over and over again, for the sake of your peace of mind, spirit, and soul.

Less=More
This weekend my wife and I enjoyed hours of watching “Living Big in Tiny Houses” and “The Minimalists” on Youtube and Netflix. We noticed when one lives with less there is a capability for more. Funny, right? Less=more? I am a spender, and I like things, but watching short documentaries on minimalism remind me that no matter how many things I have, they will not bring true happiness. It’s those tiny cozy spaces and small things that mean the most. They ate the things that bring us true joy that matter. I also just read a story of scripture, in which two armies are fighting. One is fighting “like dragons” for their lives, and the other is fighting for their homes, their liberties, their wives, their children, and their rites to worship. Those that were more concerned about fighting for happiness and joy and for their loved ones, instead of the army that only fought for their lives like dragons, won the battle and drove them back. (The Book of Mormon; Alma 43) I learned this weekend that we are to love people, and use things, because the opposite never works. We must also fight against negativity and opposition with a constant focus on those around because we love and care about them. We care about them so much that we are willing to do anything for them! Have a great day and a blessed week! It’s in YOUR power to do so!🌲💪🌱🔜🌳

Lyndi guides you to visualize a place where you feel safe and comfortable. The beach was a place that came to my mind this morning. I was able to visualize a place on the ocean where I felt safe! I am excited knowing I am Ok my way!!

Safe Space
This loving kindness for self was just right for me today. Perfect for before bed.

Going forward
Baby steps trying to move on. Very difficult. So much hurt and sadness. Feel powerless and played. Ego hurts and inner child cries in longing for the better moments but they’re all ruined. Grief for those beautiful lost moments that are now bitter

Safe Space
Remember that place where you felt safe. Fill your mind with those feelings. Affirm that you are safe and happy. Remember that your mind can return there as often as you need

Peace
I needed this for the longest time. I cried once it started. I wanted to feel safe and at peace with myself for at least a moment. My journey is long but I’m trying.
