Black Balloon / Green Balloon
I love this teacher! The inflections in her voice are comforting yet commanding. I was able to follow her directions without having to lose my focus. I filled that black balloon with as much negativity as I could, and then burst it. Then I inhaled the goodness from the green balloon. Boy, I feel great!!! Thank you! 🙏

Power of Visualizing
It was effective for me to envision a balloon that fills, flies away, and pops. Irritation... POP! Frustration... POP! Worry... POP! I especially liked breathing in the positive. This was enjoyable, and I liked the background music, too.

I’ve been absorbing so much negativity for two days now and it’s time to let it go. It ruined my experience that’s usually good. It made me zone out when I should have been focused, calm and enjoying. One very negative person can drag you down with them and I was just trying to get through it. a cold, raw, grey day of rain very good for the spring buds but gusty winds cut right through us draining our energy last chance of the season to be grateful for warm gloves wishing the sun would break through from above us we pressed on with our work until it was done back inside we warmed our hands over the toaster and covered our laps with warm blankets as we held steaming cups

I learned that I can physically remove energy from my body with little effort and in a feel-good way. The use of the balloon to contain all the energy, and the automatic elation and lightness when I popped the balloon were a welcome surprise.

Negative Energy Floating Away
This meditation was exactly what I needed today. I have been carrying a huge weight on my shoulders for awhile now...a situation that is completely out of my control. This situation has been creating a lot of negative energy within me. It was so nice if only for a few minutes to picture all of that negative energy floating away like a balloon.

Am I wrong?
If I’m still feeling really negative after this session, it that an indictment of my character or personality? Because I’m having a truly crummy Friday the Thirteenth today. Running late to an important appointment someone tried to back up from a red light on a hill, straight into our family car JUST out of the shop after a long long repair; I honked to try to get them to stop , because I was trapped between their car and one which had pulled up behind me, and I couldn’t have pulled away if I wanted to. A passenger got out of that car to come tell me to go around because the car had stalled, but they were calling for assistance...fat lot of good that would have done me had they managed to back into my car! But *I’m” the bad guy for honking?!?🤬🤬🤬 Then come to find out that a friend has been diagnosed with colon cancer! This poor guy just managed to get through a crummy divorce and got custody of his beautiful children, works better than full-time on-the-road, and now this?!? Friday the Thirteenth was definitely living down to its reputation today!

Good meditation that never completed. We were instructed to blow all negative energy to fill up a black balloon and then the meditation ended. I’m left with a partially filled black balloon. Help!

I did not connect with the imagery and analogies used. They made me feel uncomfortable. Also the voice sounded quite artificial and distracting - jarring.

My favourite meditation thus far...
This was fantastic. I can apply this to both physical discomfort and emotional discomfort! The metaphor is perfect. It has reaffirmed a fundamental belief I try to live by - I am not my feelings or my thoughts - I observe them and can decide how they inform me and choose how I act in response. They don’t control me, they may appear uninvited but ultimately I control what happens afterwards.

Select The 7 Minute Over The 3 Minute Mediation
For those who have been left feeling they still have negativity after listening to the 3 minute version, it likely due to the fact that you are asked to relax and breath and progress to the black balloon. To get maximum benefits, I have realized that you need to hear the other 4 minutes. ❤️

I didn’t feel any negativity releasing in just the 3mins got to the balloon blowing part and it stopped. If still interested I might come back and listen to the 7min version.

Feels like you only get half the meditation which is poor for one that is supposed to be releasing negativity as it leaves you even more frustrated than you felt before.

When I hear this lady’s voice I have a hard time understanding it which distracts me from the meditative state that I am trying to achieve. As I write these words it occurs to me that I probably need to release the negativity I have one I have trouble understanding somebody. Maybe so maybe not I often overthink things.

Irene, again a pleasant surprise. I first listened to the short version which kinda left me hanging. So, I listened to the 7 minute version. By the time my body was filled with all the positive energy from your green balloon, it all made perfect sense to me, it worked, and I feel great. Thanks Irene. 🙏🏻Namaste 🙏🏻

Surprisingly, blowing out negativity into the black balloon felt really good. A release of resistance. Walking this morning in the woods and saw a deer. I think this is my spirit animal telling me I’m on the right path. Every time I’m feeling good I see one. Things are working out for me. I feel joy and love. #OmShanti

I want to know how the meditation would end because i think it was very calming but with the three minute cut i couldn‘t hear the rest and i‘m sad about that.

Letting go of judgment
Something that I naturally added to what this meditation invited me into was to go back to certain parts of my day where I judged myself. At the end of the day I had a bunch of black balloons filled with self judgment that I was carrying around. At the end of the mediation I visualized letting them all go.

I learned that it's okay to not do anything. I tend to procrastinate and so typically at the end of the day I feel it was a waste, especially so on winter or summer breaks but I feel that I've learned that sometimes doing absolutely nothing for a day or two is exactly what you need to refocus and reenergize.

Very cleansing, simple imagery
I love the imagery of gathering the negativity into a balloon then popping it. And replacing the breath with the green balloon of positive energy was awesome. As I brought the good energy into my body then exhaled, I imagined releasing all that supplemental positive energy into my immediate environment, displacing any negativity that might be lingering from the black balloon that I had just popped. It’s funny how these images can really help you change the way you feel. Kind of amazing.

Excellent session exhaling all my excess negativity into a black balloon. I could feel my squishing/forcing every last drop of negative out on my last exhale. Then inhaling all this exciting positive energy from this extremely large green balloon ... it was exhilarating!! It took me several breathes to fill my entire self - down to my toes even. I am excited to take on the day now! I will keep this handy tool ready to quickly use next time I run into a negative person to get rid of their poison into a black balloon as soon as possible, instead of letting it build up! Thanks much Irene!! You are the Best!! 💚🟢🍀

Take a moment, in a comfortable position, loosen any tension that has build up in your body & breathe deeply; release your breath with any negativity included. Dont keep anything that doesnt serve you with you. Your body is your temple & you have to take care of it, giving it the required maintenance.

I really love this imagery, it was a little different, but for me very effective in releasing negativity and stressful thoughts… I loved Irene‘s voice and how it was a very active pushing out of negativity which sometimes is not encouraged but- again I thought it was really helpful!

It seems the most of the apps come back to focusing on breathing….. I get that focus breathing is a good way to get yourself to the present I’d like some cbt lessons to coincide with breathing focus
