Simple Three Steps
Wow! What an awesome meditation! On this 300th day of meditating, I wanted to listen to a meditation that would have a profound effect on me, a lesson to be learned. This meditation from Dorothy certainly did not disappoint!
We all have unwanted thoughts and feelings from time to time. In this meditation, Dorothy guides us through a three step process in which we learn how to let go of those unwanted thoughts and feelings, ultimately changing how we want to feel.
The first step is coming home to ourselves by becoming aware of our breath. The second step is visualizing letting go of our unwanted thoughts and feelings on our exhalation. The third and final step is visualizing how you want to feel by breathing in those things into our being.
I have been having quite a lot of unwanted thoughts and feelings as of late. Because I haven’t been feeling strong most of the time, I have allowed these thoughts and feelings to take hold of me. At times, it has left me thinking negatively and feeling self doubt, among other things. Shedding and releasing these thoughts and feelings from my entire being, visualizing the words I was thinking and feeling flow out of my mouth with each and every exhalation, felt So amazing and powerful!
I then began to fill myself up with how I wanted to feel, in this case, warmth, positivity and light. With each inhalation, I envisioned those words going into my being leaving me feeling like the sun with rays full of positivity. Where there was once cold, warmth. Where there was once negativity, there is positivity. And, where there was once darkness, there is light.
We all have the Choice in how we want to feel. We may not have a Choice in our thought. However, we do have a Choice in whether we entertain our thoughts or not! Indeed, we all have this powerful ability within ourselves to change our mindset! All we have to do is these simple three steps!
