New understanding
While I'm still unsure of what to do with my attention when I'm not focusing on either the in or out breath, this in for energizing and out for relaxing concept is quite a revelation for me. I hope I'm able to call this back to mind when I need it, but I know the only way to really do that is practice.

Just relax
It's so difficult to shut the mind off. I started meditating every other day and then ever two days due to being "so busy" and before I knew it, I was more disconnected from my practice and unbalanced in life. I get to give myself 5 minutes each morning to just relax; to just be grateful for living; to thank my body for carrying my soul around.

Balancing with your breath
Today I learned how to balance myself using my breath. Who knew that paying more attention to the in breath was energizing and more attention to the out breath was relaxing. It really worked I tried both and by the end I felt balanced. Thank you Lyndi!

Mindfulness with distractions
I felt relaxed but alert doing my meditation today. There were distractions around me but it didn’t throw me off as much as it should. I feel all the stresses and anxiousness is the day go away.
