Sometimes it's hard to keep track of your feelings and all kinds of emotions, and we often overlook those that are related to ourselves. I use these few minutes to focus on myself and my relationship with myself, slowly starting to love myself as I am.

My relationship with myself comes first.
I need to work on balancing my relationship with my self and my relationships with others. I try to support those closest to me but I often find myself feeling depleted. I put myself last every time, as if I don't matter. I'm also very hard on myself. I wish to be more compassionate to myself. I wish to fill my cup first rather than empty it. Besides, how can I truly be there for others when I'm not even there for myself?

I pictured my mind as my riding horse, a living being, smart and wild. I want to treat it with the nobility and loving skill of the Pampa indigenous riders, able to surrender their beasts with patience, attention, and the touch of their whole body in a dance of love.

Ive never actually asked myself what kind of relationship i have with myself. I’ve been 4 years on and off with depression and this is the first year where i noticed it hadn’t “happened” to me or come back, especially during the fall months (seasonal depression.) I actually meditated to this firstly because i had a dream and woke up feeling kind of strange and it wouldn’t go away. This is why i love this app and I’m not just saying it to say it, I genuinely mean it. If my mind is focusing on negativity it’s easy to bring myself back down when I reflect on where I’m at with my life. I find that when i make myself fully aware that there are better things to focus on when something happens in my life that’s unfixable or merely an experience that will soon pass, the longevity of that feeling for me won’t last as long. I just feel like this points me in the right direction and listening to it made me think of what fills my mind with peace instead of anger or resentment. Thank you for this

Self-compassion and self-love needs to be cultivated
Just because at some point you’ve stopped your negative voices, it doesn’t mean that they will not come back. Self-compassion and self-love need to be repeated and cultivated like a new hobby so that it can become truly part of your life and yourself.

Love and let go
I am so grateful to return to meditation. This 7 minute meditation returned me to center. I was reminded to love myself and let go of my self judgement and criticism. As I focused on my breathing and the gentle sound of the music and voice I felt my anxiety decrease. I felt hopeful and positive. I realized that I am able to love and appreciate myself. I will remember to practice this daily. It is good to be back with Aura. Thank you.

I am new to meditation but the past couple of times I have just been focusing on my breath and find that doing this really clears my mind. It in the sense that i stop the amount of thought coming through but more in the sense that my attention is not on them but rather in my breath. I am learning more and more each day about gratitude and compassion. Each time I gain more positivity towards my daily life.

I really liked this meditation. I liked the idea of this is time for me, and nobody expects or wants anything from me in this moment. Sometimes I need to slow down and remind myself of that, and I need to remind myself that I shouldn’t always expect or need things from myself. I should just be.

I can’t tell myself that I am not expected to do things or that things are not expected from me because then I would be lying to myself. The one thing I can NOT do to myself is the one thing I am being told to do. Not only that I have expectations to live up a performance level to exceed and standards I need to uphold. So therefore I would be lying if I was not expected to do anything or for anybody. Even though I would like it to be differently I can not change the world.

Being Kind to Me!
My relationship with myself is more hurtful and damaging than any relationship I have with a person. This meditation was a good reminder to be kind to myself and not be so judgmental.

I have always been a better friend to others than I have been to myself. The way I have felt about myself has echoed how I felt others perceived me. AND that was how they may have treated me that day. I am beginning to become aware that not only do they not have control over who I am, but their treatment of me usually doesn’t have anything to do with me. It is hard to keep this in mind on a routine daily basis, but becoming aware of it is the first step to it becoming natural.

I am usually a good listener with my friends, whenever they tell me something they’re feeling bad about, I always know how to comfort them and make them feel better. But when i try to do that with myself i end up of deep thinking that makes me regret stuff, after this session I realized that, and I decided to talk to myself just like when I talk to a friend,. Self love is beyond being perfect or even good, it’s something deeper than that, it is self forgiveness, realizing that no matter how much you lose you should not lose yourself. Your mistakes build you, widen your thoughts, and makes you a better person. Just let go, and work hard.

I suffer from anxiety and depression and my relationship with myself is rough but with time and practice I know I will improve. Having a positive mindset is what I see as one of the most important relationship I can have with myself. In this time, we can get caught up with society’s views,opinions, and beliefs that we forget about how unique we are. I’m one of those people that fall for it too but awareness can help us realise and try to help ourselves. Today I did about 5kms of running for AFL training which were in intervals and included 6* 50m sprints. I was so close to giving up on myself. Although I’m carrying past ankle injuries on both feet that only come when I run a lot; I kept pushing and successfully finished running with my teammates. Ran bare feet for the sprints, and it was one of the best feelings but not great for the ankles 😅 I rarely continue if I feel pains but this time it’s 2019 and old habits need to die.

Giving myself trust
This was an excellent meditation, I did two before this one and hadn’t yet reached the mindset I like to be in while meditating. I was starting to go down a whirlpool of anxiety and mistrust in my relationship with my boyfriend. At the beginning of this meditation, I was agreeing with everything but the hardness in my heart chakra was there. Now by the end I feel it melted and a warm emerald green glow in my chest. Thank you for letting me first find trust within myself, which through that journey, ultimately led to trust in my partner, our relationship, our growth, and most importantly the Universe.
