The Habit of Meditating
In this purification meditation to purify our negative mental afflictions, I will guide us through the following steps:
(1) Identify what you would like to purify,
(2) Look for ways in which you contribute to this,
(3) Cultivate a sense of intelligent regret around this affliction and how you contribute to it,
(4) Set a time frame around how long you will refrain from this thing in the future
(5) Set how you will intentionally respond in the future within the given timeframe, and
(6) Rejoice in committing yourself to this practice.
