Being given permission to look at un-stressed self
I loved the perspective of seeing my future un-stressed self as a focus to help me calm myself in all of my current chaos. I needed permission to do that because I wasn’t allowing myself to do it.

I felt empty when I had checked off all my to do items. Maybe I'm too used to having a lot to do? I'd like to get to a place where I'm centered and peaceful while having a lot on my plate. Too often I think I have to get it all done instead of being there and living the moment. This is a minute by minute struggle for me.

Being Done
The feeling that this invokes, the feeling of “being done,” is almost overwhelming. The thought that at some point in my future, I will not have a worry or a stress, that I will “be done,” has never, not once, crossed my mind. I’ve been living for so long, assuming that “being done” was never an option for me. Thinking that it might be an option, to feel accomplished enough, to be satisfied enough, to “be done,” is an overwhelming feeling of relief. A happiness so profound, it’s almost sorrow.

Through this meditation I felt my senses in my past, childhood, carefree self . I remember how everything felt, smelt and looked like when stress ended . When you were able to be done and literally stress free . Stress free is a state of mind . It has to be or we would never not be stressed .

Exactly what I needed!
My life at work has become excruciatingly torturous and my personal life at home is in ruins. If I’m stressed at home, I find comfort at work. Likewise if work is unbearable, I have home to call my sanctuary. Now with both of my environments causing me stress, I have nowhere to turn but inwards. This put me in the perfect mindset to remember that “this too shall pass.”

Since the beginning of time, people have been trying to change the world so that they can be happy. This hasn’t ever worked, because it approaches the problem backward. Projecting Yourself to Your Future Self gives us a way to change the projector—mind—rather than the projected. It’s like when there’s a piece of lint on a projector’s lens. We think there’s a flaw on the screen, and we try to change this person and that person, whomever the flaw appears on next. But it’s futile to try to change the projected images. Once we realize where the lint is, we can clear the lens itself. This is the end of suffering, and the beginning of a little joy in paradise.

It’s normal, it’s common, but sometimes it weighs heavy if you lose perspective. Don’t get stuck in the future or past. Focus on the present and the fact that “this too shall pass”

Getting it all done
As much as I try, I feel that my list grows daily with more and more to do. Cross five off, but add seven more. Soon, I’m overwhelmed. It is not in my budget to pay others to do these tasks for me. So, I keep trying to do it myself. I wish that work didn’t take so much of my time and energy. It would help to have better balance. I don’t see that happening in the next 12-15 or more years until retirement. It’s a shame we go full speed and then stop. This seems so inefficient.

A sense of positivity and possibilities
If it’s true that the best relationship you can have is a relationship with yourself, then the best source of comfort must also come from within. I’ve never thought about the idea of tapping into your future self to comfort your current self would being much positive effect and a feeling of hopefulness. This is great. Thank you

I guess as i came out of this meditation i didn’t think of it as the title describes, however i do see it now, and the title IS fitting. By renewing ourselves everyday we give way to endless positive future days without any baggage from the past. I’ve been listening mostly inspirational stories, so this is a nice transition back into meditations. Renewing myself daily.

I learned that it is so beneficial for me to practice this mediation when I’m stressed and having a difficult day! I’ve been so stressed and going through some difficult things in my life and this mediation made all the difference for me! It was a great reminder and came just at the right time, when I needed it most and for that I’m so grateful! It’s in these moments that I need to remind myself that this too shall pass! Throughout my day I will keep envisioning myself future self to clam my current stressed self! I’m letting go and letting God! I know I’m in good hands! 😌

I noticed when I listen to this meditation 🧘‍♀️ I still feel stressed out about how what happened yesterday at my child’s school it was unbelievable I’m trying now to get myself together I still can’t get what happened they still don’t know what caused the illnesses. I’m just outraged by this.😩

Projecting my thoughts to create a more precise vision of my goals helps them manifest into my experiences quicker. When I couple breathing with guided thinking, I can pull myself back to my center, which is Love. All thoughts stemming from Love are beneficial to my growth and continued progress spiritually.

I noticed that I was carrying tension all over my body; my brow was furrowed and my jaw was clenched (a great recipe for a mild headache). Even after an incredibly productive day, I was still thinking about how many things I have yet to do, and imagining having them all done was comforting, but there was still a lingering sense that when I do manage to get everything I’m worried about now completed, there will always be something new to be stressed about.

This was a very calming meditation which was a very much needed break from our current situation. Letting go of current stresses and focusing on a future version of ourselves that is past all of our worries and concerns and is done with all obligations. I found my self smiling and standing a few inches taller without any problems, deadlines, expectations or concerns.... ahhhh.... free to do whatever, whenever for as long as I want. Then I saw myself writing & speaking and sharing & teaching with young adults who were looking for advice. There was excitement, anticipation and lots of good energy. It was truly a pleasant time for all! ❤️🎓🍀

End of the work shift in sight
It’s a great meditation to do on my lunch break: it’s easy to see how relaxed and destressed I’ll be when I get off at the end of my shift, and projecting forward to that feeling helps me get through it to get there.

Thinking about being stress free, letting go of my current situation helped me relax a bit more. School has been stressing me out A LOT over the last few months and in a few days I’ll be on break. Thinking about what I’m gonna do (or not do) after this semester ends helped alleviate some of that stress and let me know, it’s gonna be okay. I can get through this.
