Blessings of Peace
Sitting in my backyard while focusing on my breath, I sensed the warmth from the sun on my skin. Welcoming ease to enter my mind and body, I am reminded that impermanence occurs everywhere . Thinking about how my beautiful boy, Montee recently went through this transition, I felt an uneasiness rise in my heart all over again. Knowing what a peaceful heart will do not only for me, but for the ones around me, I pushed myself through the uneasiness. Breathing in and out of my heart, I visualized a golden light glowing there. Feeling my heart begin to soften as I offered these blessings of peace to myself, I sensed this light grow within my heart. Sensing more ease than uneasiness in my heart, I offered myself these blessings of peace again. Afterwards, I sensed my heart soften completely and warmth flooded my entire body. I’ve needed to hear and offer these blessings of peace to myself! Feeling more balanced with a sense of equanimity, I offered these blessings of peace to others. One by one, I watched as their faces lit up with ease and I knew that peace had touched their hearts as well. With all of our hearts filled with peace, may we bring an openness to the universal Law of impermanence. Namaste 🙏🏻❤️☮️
