Being mindful of where we are in our personal emotional cycles and seasons in life can help us accept all of our feelings, release suffering and move back into harmony and peace more easily. We ‘should’ ourselves into feeling a certain way, like it's summer and I'm on vacation so I 'should' be happy, etc., when in reality you are in a cycle of grief that needs healing and rest, despite the sunny weather and parties. What emotional cycle are you currently in? What season are you experiencing in your life? Are you trying to make yourself feel something that you are not naturally feeling? Releasing expectations for the natural cycles of our life can lessen suffering and move us back into peace.

Incongruities
I learned that many times people become self critical when they find them selves in cycles of negative emotion, which do not appear to match what they “should be feeling“ in their external situation The best thing to do when this happens, is to except whatever emotional state we are in.
