NSDR (Non-Sleep Deep Relaxation) is similar to yoga nidra in that we are journeying to a place of deep relaxation while still awake. When guided through an NSDR journey, we are invited to shift our consciousness to various sensations and, in doing so, we allow the RAS (Reticular Activating System) in the brain - responsible for vigilance and prediction - to take a back seat and allow a deeper sense of rest. Deeply restorative and relaxing - you may just end up falling asleep. Can be practiced at bedtime or any time you need restorative rest.
