Interconnection
We are all connected in the air that we breath. In this meditation, Bradley has us sit or walk while we are in the great outdoors and breathe in the colors we see, the sounds we hear and the air around us.
As I walked around in my backyard, I focused on the newly manicured lawn. I began breathing in the color green from the grass and the color yellow from the sun filtering its light through a mimosa tree branch on the grass. Upon further inspection, I noticed various shapes of morning dew on each individual blade of grass. Focusing on my ears, I began hearing various birds singing and wind chimes producing its own music. Taking a few moments to breathe in all of this magic of life occurring around me, I am reminded of the interconnection that I share with all of life. For that, I am grateful. Taking a few moments to feel the Earth below my feet, I am reminded that I am supported. For that, I am grateful. Taking a few moments to just be, I am reminded that everything has a purpose and that there is a purpose for everything. For that, I am grateful.
When we take some time to be in the great outdoors, we are reminded that we are all connected. This interconnection that we share with all of life is a great reminder that we are a part of something bigger than ourselves. In this way, this interconnection soothes the soul and calms the mind.
