grateful realization
as i was doing this meditation, i realized how lucky i am to be able to do it. i realized there are people in the world who cannot take deep breaths. i was once one of those people after i had a surgery on my stomach. i remember how unhappy i was that i wasn’t able to breathe deeply to relax myself. i had to get measured everyday and do breathing tests. at the time i never realized how big of a toll it took on my life, but looking back it really made me miserable. being able to breathe as much and as hard as i want to makes me so grateful because believe it or not others cannot be as lucky as we.

I was able to stay on after the session and count 10 breaths on the first try, which I don’t think has ever happened before, so I think this practice might world for me. I’m going to try it at the times when I need it- after my alarm goes off in the morning and my frequent 10:30 am slump time. Namaste

This morning I am feeling gratitude and sadness. Like big fluffy clouds on a sunny day. The kind of day that makes you cry with a smile. My grandpa could die at any moment. He might have already died and no one has had a chance to call yet to let me know. He says he is ready. I can’t think of anything that I can do or not do to make what he is going through easier. Maybe it isn’t supposed to be easy. Birth isn’t, why do we hope that death would be. I have known him my whole life. But I imagine there are days and days worth of things he could still say and share with me. But the time for sharing seems to be over. I guess the thing to do is be great full for what you got. Maybe what you think you missed was never meant for you. Be happy now. Lots to think about this morning.

Aglaonema (Chinese Evergreen) varieties are the easiest to care for, they are bushy tropical but need very little water and natural sunlight.

Today was my lesson of breathing and energy. I believe that I should wake up in the morning and not worry about that day or what will happen. I need to take breaths and take things one step at a time. If I feel tired, I can use this exercise. This can also help with stress and anxiety.

This was a great little “wake me up” session. Perfectly timed (except I must take unusually long breathes) & delivered. Really liked the extra 3 seconds “holding” at the top! Gives more time for your body to absorb the fresh oxygen. In fact, I could feel my depleted, tired, blue blood cells sucking up the fresh O2 & turning red in my lungs and racing back to my heart to be pumped to the rest of my body. These trillions of little race cars coursing thru my highway of veins and arteries picking up & releasing oxygen have to wake you up energetically!! They did me! Thanks, ❤️✌🏼

I liked that Cassandra’s voice was relaxing and she was casual. I learned that changing the amount of air you breathe in and holding it for a few seconds before you exhale can change how your body reacts. I didn’t feel any tingling or warmth like the meditation said for me to notice, but I do recognize that it feels different from regular breathing and I think if I did more of those breaths then I would feel a more significant difference.

I learned to let go of all the tension in my body. I definitely feel way more better then before so I think this meditation was good. I also noticed that for the past couple days I've been doing this that I'm starting to get more happy and that's a good thing so.

Some people say they enjoy the experience of smoking but I think it’s rather the time they are spending to get quite, be calm, and BREATHE. It’s the act of taking a big inhale, and letting all the build up energy release with the exhale through your mouth. Try it: pretend like you have a smoke, with your fingers up to your mouth- inhale the AIR... hold it for a second, drop the “smoke,” and blow it all out through your mouth. It feels so good!!!!

Listening to one of the audios about a professor holding a glass of water and the story behind it being no matter how much it weighs if you held it all day or for a long time your arm would ache and our bodies being the same. When we hold things in for too long our body and everything begins to ache. Looking back on where I was 1-2 weeks ago, I do feel better after telling someone or more about those feelings. I feel better that I’ve told someone and it’s not all roaming around in my mind. That’s not to say that it isn’t, but it’s not as intense. I hope I can continue to find ways to express and talk about my problems rather then holding them in.

Last night I cried the hardest I’ve ever cried about anything. I didn’t give myself a chance to cry it out because I was trying to be strong so early. I know now you need to let all the crying out before you start the process of healing. This is day 4 of the worst break up ever. He is my best friend and the love of my life, and we both split to work on ourselves to in the future be stronger together. It was a positive break up but that term is what hurts me. I needed to let it all out. Today was such a lazy start because of last night so I really needed something to help me breathe. This helped so much to relax me and when ever I am feeling that heart pain, deep breathing is so helpful to slowly get rid of it.
